1977 Ford F-150 Ranger XLT Additional Info:
For sale is my 1977 Ford F-150 Super Cab Ranger XLT. I bought the super cab last year off the wife of the original owner, the loaded truck was bought new at Alexander Motor Company in Durham NC. Truck has many options such as air conditioning, trailer towing package, AM/FM radio, body side racetrack moldings and much more. The truck has lived its whole life in North Carolina. See attached Marti report documenting all the options. The odometer shows 26,300 miles but I would assume it has rolled over once and it’s 126,300 but the previous owners wife couldn’t confirm.
The super cab is powered by a strong running 400ci V8 backed by a C6 Automatic transmission and 3.25 locking rear axle. The steering and suspension is in good shape overall, steering box was just replaced due to a leak. Factory A/C works but is not extremely cold. Truck runs and drives great.
The interior is in great shape, the seats have no rips or tears and show very well. The dash and original am/fm radio are in great shape. The previous owner added temperature and oil pressure gauges because he wanted more precise readings while towing their boat according to his wife. It also has a trailer brake controller. The dash pad is original and good shape with no cracks but does show some age. The carpet is original as well and is in good shape but does show some fading. Steering wheel has some cracks.
The exterior of the truck is 99% rust free and in great shape. The grille, tailgate trim and body side moldings are in good shape. The bumpers shine well but there is a dent in the front one. The inside of the bed is also rust free and mostly dent free. It has had a rubber mat in it most of it's life but I removed it for a photo to show bed condition. The truck was painted at some point in the early 2000s and shows well but is not perfect. The floors, cab mounts and frame are all clean and solid with no issues.
Overall it’s a great truck, I’ve been using it as my weekend driver for 8 months and has been issue free.
