1968 Ford Mustang Additional Info:
Survivor car fans and Mustang enthusiasts need to pay attention. This 1968 Ford Mustang goes way-beyond its likely original V8 to prove its lived a cherished life with so many well-maintained factory components. So check out a true classic worthy of your attention.
The preserved appearance all starts with the Meadowlark Yellow paint. This shows all signs of being the original factory application, and it retains plenty of luster to radiate in the sunlight. This not only means it was well-maintained, but also highlights the exceptional condition of the body. It's the perfect color for the contrasting black C-style stripe package. Mustangs are meant to be shown off, and so while the GT-style wheel covers were likely a later addition, we can understand why they were done to enhance this survivor. After all, they are period-correct and go so nicely with the bright trim and chrome bumpers.
The exterior stripe is also a nice preview of the factory black interior, and it's the perfect contrasting shade for the exterior color. It's a cherished survivor in here, too, where the dash, carpeting, and door panels are said to be all original. The same goes for the full bright trim package. The factory AM radio was rebuilt about 10 years ago – that's the level of dedication to have a cut-above survivor! The seats were re-covered in the correct black vinyl with the right pattern. It's one of those places you're happy to have restored, because it makes for a classic that feels great to sit in and go for a drive. The same goes for the armrest center console with cup holders. They make it nicer to enjoy this Mustang, but you can also remove it.
Under the hood is the big blue presentation of proper blue oval power. Just like the rest of this coupe, there is a highly original look that makes it hard to believe this C-code 289 cubic-inch motor is anything but all-stock. In fact, we see this on all the major components, including the three-speed automatic transmission. But just because the V8 is a survivor does not mean there was a lack of service. Not only do I have maintenance records for this coupe, but also the way this fires up and runs smoothly tells you it was cared for correctly over its three-owner life. This well-preserved machine also comes with the right paperwork, like the original warranty card, owner's manual, and title documentation. You may never again find such a desirable survivor for this kind of affordability.
