1989 Ford Bronco XLT 4X4 Additional Info:
Not only were vintage Broncos chock full of curb appeal while in factory form, but they also made outstanding structural canvases for inspired customization, as this 1989 Ford Bronco XLT 4x4 ably shows. This rugged off-roader is in top running form and is powered by almost certainly its original engine, and it features some great touches both inside and out.
Small wonder that there's so much commotion centered on Ford re-releasing its widely popular SUV - as the years went by, the model stayed both aesthetically and mechanically relevant, combining plenty of head turning magnetism via a broad, robust form carrying plenty of power and wheel clearance to surmount off-road obstacles. This '89 has been refreshed in its original black color and wears a whole host of exterior upgrades to set it apart from the rest of the SUV crowd. Up front, you'll find a pair of fog lights recessed into the front bumper, teaming with an additional lighting bar perched over the cabin to illuminate the path ahead, while the added blackened billet grille and smoked headlights really amplify this Ford's presence. Color matched step bars take their place on each side of the cabin and both the front and rear bumpers are in top shape, contrasting with the black backdrop nicely along with the side and wheel trim. A very clean aftermarket black soft top is included to provide shelter when the skies darken.
The black vinyl interior looks great, having received a lot of attention to bring it up to its current state. Both the front buckets and rear bench seat were recently recovered and are in nearly new condition - they tie in well with the set of inserts adding to the factory door panels. Climb in and take your position behind the wheel, and you'll find a new, snugly fitting headliner above you and a fresh expanse of carpet lining the floor below. The lever unleashing four-wheel drive agility sits within easy reach and a fire extinguisher perched on the transmission tunnel adds an extra measure of safety while out on the road. Beyond the GT Grant steering wheel, the dash area reflects the same clean appearance as the rest of the cabin, with a collection of clear, functional factory gauges on board filling the instrument cluster and an aftermarket AM/FM/CD stereo at the center that pairs with a collection of speakers whose bottom end is supplied by a pair of Kicker Competition subs mounted in back.
There will be plenty of power at your disposal via the electronically fuel injected 5.8 liter V8 beneath the hood. It's likely the original engine and is in top running form, starting promptly and pulling with plenty of vigor as it pairs with a 4-speed automatic transmission that's shifting with precision and offers an overdrive gear to keep RPMs nice and low at highway speeds. The 4-wheel drive feature on this '89 is in perfect working condition, so when you feel the urge to veer off onto the road less travelled you'll have plenty of surefootedness to work with. The added Flowmaster dual exhaust sends just the right deep note out of the tailpipes that you'd want in a ride like this. Power steering makes for easy navigation, while power brakes that position discs up front bring low effort, fade resistant stops as this
awesome SUV classic conquers terrain of all kinds on its set of 15" Fuel Black Bullet Hole wheels wrapped with 33x12.50R15 Falken Wildpeak tires.
