1964 Ford Fairlane Additional Info:

At 75 years old I think I'm finally ready to take life easy. This car is so close to being finished but I'm burnt out on working on these cars.About the car: All new paint inside and out. Really an excellent job of it too, except for the trunk lid which has some fish eyes on it but still looks good. Bumpers are new chrome. New windshield and rubber rear glass isn't new but new rubber around it. All new upholstery, including headliner. No rugs yet. Door panels are reproduction correct. All side glass is original and perfect. I restored and detailed the front suspension and added drilled and slotted disc brakes front and back. Back ones have emergency brakes. Floor pan underneath is detailed with Lizard Skin treatment. Boyd Cottington mags, new, with bigs and littles tires. I have pretty much everything to complete the car but there are a few things that remain to be done. No driveline, no front bumper parking lights, exhaust still needs to be done but it has exhaust manifolds on the engine (easy task). Clutch and brake assembly is detailed but not in car yet. Bell crank and frame pivot ball are there. Wiring is all original and in good shape, not brittle and mostly hooked up except for gauges. Lots of new parts on and with the car.Running gear: The motor is a machine shop built 390 cu in FE with a 69 heavy duty top loader 4 speed with Hurst linkage. When I got this car it had an ignition key and oil pressure gauge on a small panel under the hood so I could hear it fun. Good motor with all new inside. Edelbrock aluminum intake and Holley carb. A little bit of wiring to finish up under the hood. Clutch, flywheel, through out bearing all in there ready to run. Rear end has 325 ratio and is a posi unit with Mosier axles 9 inch Ford of course with the correct Thunderbolt ladder bars.Price: I want $24,500 for the car and I believe this is really reasonable. Allows someone to finish it and still make money if that's their intention. Or, keep an affordable Thunderbolt in their collection. Some thunderbolts people are selling are 2dr hdtps or fairlanes and not the 500 with the stainless post. This is exactly what the originals were. This car was originally a V8 4speed which is somewhat rare. This is a clean dry Arizona car with no panel replacements whatsoever. Clean Arizona title in my name.
