1950 Ford Other Additional Info:
Hello Hot Rodders and Classic Car buffs world wide. Up for auction is a 1949/1950 Ford Business Coupe. Those that are familiar with this body style, know that these have the proportioned "small roofs, and are rare. The sedans are everywhere, with the large roofs, large quarter windows, and big rear window area's. This is what every Hot Rodder wanted in the 1950s.
This little coupe is reminiscent of what you would of seen in the high school parking lot of the small town that you grew up in. Slightly lowered, flat blue paint, MOON discs, dual exhaust, and lots of attitude. Keeping with the 1950s theme is a brand new white and blue custom interior. The piping and "buttons" are vibrant blue, and really stand out. The dash, steering column, shifting mechanism, and all of the garnish moldings have been painted PPG cobalt blue.
The engine is a completely rebuilt 239 cubic inch V8. Built by Arrow engines in Temecula, California, its balanced and has all new internal parts. The clutch, pressure plate, throw-out bearing and flywheel are also new. The transmission is also rebuilt, and shifts like a hot knife through butter!
The car has an all new Ron Francis wiring kit, and has been converted to 12 volt system, with an alternator. Also, a set of brand new 14" Hankook radial tires give nice ride and handling.
This is a nice little Business Coupe that I hate to sell, but my Mrs. and I are investing on a new home, and a lot of my toys must go. I will let this go at a fraction of what I have invested. All sales are final. Ask questions prior to bidding and/or buying. There are no refunds, warranties, or exchanges. I know of two very reasonable and reputable auto shipping companies. Buyer pays for shipping, and I will see to it that the car arrives in a safe and prompt manner. Lastly, I will gladly ship this car anywhere in the world. Thanks for viewing, keep an eye out for my other auctions of rare vintage speed equipment, and memorabilia, and have a great day. Alex - 909 - 437 - 2068.
