1969 FORD MUSTANG
302 V-8 COUPE PROJECT
from
MustangBeginnings
If you have ever wanted a 69 Mustang Coupe project that was affordable.
This is the car.
We have a clear title.
This is an original V-8, 302 “F” code car, with 5 lug suspension both front and rear. Call us if you need a different engine or transmission, no problem we have most kinds, and are available separately at very reasonable prices.
Not sure of the original color, probably blue, but you can paint it any color you like.
We have included some pictures of other Mustangs at the end of the photos below showing how the car might look when finished.
The 1969 Mustang brought buyers into the showrooms by the thousands and Ford’s strategy worked—selling more Mustangs than ever before.
When fully restored, this car will easily sell for $20,000 or more.
BODY:
There are a couple of dents in the drivers door and front fender, but they can be pulled out pretty easily, and probably you will need to patch or replace part of the floor pan. There are also a couple of close up pictures of two rusts spots on the roof that look bigger than they are, because we took the picture close up.If you are new to the restoration process, we can coach you through all the steps. Overall this Mustang is a great candidate for restoration.
INTERIOR:
The interior will need a little work, and it is really the easiest part of the restoration. The good news is that you can see what is needed. You aren’t accepting someone else’s mistakes or bad repairs.
All the wiring, instrument panel, seats, etc. will come with the car but will need to be restored.
Both front buckets seats will need to be reupholstored, and we can sell you anything you need for redoing the interior. The door panels and dash pad are included, but you will probably want new ones if you are going for concourse condition.
ENGINE BAY:
Engine bay is in great condition. The original engine and transmission are still in the car. You should plan on purchasing a rebuilt 302 engine anyway that will accept modern unleaded gas. You may want to consider using new aluminum heads to increase the power and lighten the car. If you want to upgrade, a 351 Windsor will drop right in.
Please contact us separately for recommendations on where to find the engine you want.
BRAKE SYSTEM:
The mustang has front and rear drum brakes. They are intact and complete. If you would rather have front disk brakes, we can add those for $1,500.
GLASS:
The coupe will come with all its glass but there may be nicks or scratches which can be fixed or replaced.
MISC.
The Mustang comes with everything shown in the pictures, and most all of its parts. I have a couple of contacts for all the other NOS stuff you may need
At MustangBeginnings we are here to help you make your restoration a success. Please contact us if you have any questions.
WE HAVE 100% POSITIVE FEEDBACK AND PLAN TO KEEP IT THAT WAY! THERE ARE NO SURPRISES HERE, I ENCOURAGE ALL THOSE WHO BID TO COME SEE THE CAR FIRST IF POSSIBLE OR SEND SOMEONE HERE TO INSPECT IT. WE HAVE COMPLETED OTHER 67 MUSTANGS AND KNOW WHAT IT TAKES TO COMPLETE THIS CAR. THIS IS A GOOD CAR TO START WITH. PLEASE REMEMBER THIS IS A 69 MUSTANG THAT NEEDS TO BE REBUILT INTO SOMETHING SPECIAL.
AGAIN, WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE ALL BIDDERS TO CHECK THE CAR OUT IF POSSIBLE THAT WAY THERE ARE NO MISUNDERSTANDING, MISTAKES, MISCOMMUNICATION, AND ALL THE OTHER MISES.
THE CAR MIGHT NEED THINGS WE DID NOT LIST BUT THE MAJOR ONES HAVE BEEN LISTED. WE PUT THE WORD “PROJECT” IN THE DESCRIPTION TO COVER ANYTHING WE MIGHT HAVE NOT SEEN. WE HAVE THE CAR FOR SALE LOCALLY AND RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END AUCTION EARLY.
