This 1966 Mustang convertible is highly sought after collector car. A number matching C code 289 V8 barn find.
Needs total restoration. Not running but complete. Does have the typical rust popping on the rear quarter panels, lower front driver door, lower rear front driver fender, Body filler and rust popping on the passenger side rear quarter panel, floor panels appear original and have rust, may or may not need replacing, rocker panels appear sold and replaced at some point. Frame appears solid with no sagging to the body. Underbody was undercoated and not much to disclose there. Trunk area has some rust, see photos.
Now that we've told you the bad, here's the good. This is a very structurally solid and straight car. The engine bay, shock towers, torque boxes and frame rails are all rust free. Doors open and close with ease. This is not a buckling rust-junker, it's a barn-find builders dream being a "C" code convertible. If you know anything about cars, this is the one worth every penny you invest into it.
