1966 Ford Mustang Base Coupe Additional Info:
1966 Ford Mustang 289 coupe.
This is a very nice original unrestored early Mustang. 3 previous owners, the last parked the car for many years hence the low miles of 52,231. Largely rust free, in its original springtime yellow with tan interior.
Sold new in 1966 by Dub Richardson Ford of Oklahoma city, the car feels tight, has its factory stock 289 2 barrel motor, runs strong, starts easily, 3 speed floor shift, drives great. Two weeks ago I drove the car 400 miles in one day driving to Kansas City and back. Drive the car home!
Only options were A/C and an AM radio. Tires are older but have good tread and show no weather checking. All lights, turn signals, heater blower and horn work fine. All instruments work though the fuel gauge is erratic. The factory A/C does not work. I do not have a drive belt to the compressor as it needs attention. The interior unit fan works fine though. Some loose stiches in the drivers seat back .
Underside of the car is very clean with no replacement floors, sills or patch panels. Some rust on the drivers fender and missing paint, a little in the passenger side 3/4 panel. See pictures.
