1968 Ford F-100 Custom Cab Additional Info:

You just found the ultimate sleeper. This thing makes Farm Truck look like a gold-leaf Maserati.Dents: yes.Rust: Yes.Moss: Yes.Runs: Yes.
What you'd expect from 50 year-old Work Truck.

I've had this truck for about 20 years. I intended to pass it on to my son, but the darn public schools did too good a job teaching him. We live out in the country and he just realized it was gonna cost him $12 bucks a day to commute to high school. So... I agreed to sell it and put the proceeds toward something more economical.
The Body:She's been rode hard and put away wet. I literally parked it a year ago and paid no attention to the puddle of water behind the cab. Thus the rust hole in the bed behind the driver. (Sorry old girl.) There are little rust rashes in places, but mostly surface. There are some old patches from the guy before me that seem to have held pretty well. My wife thought she was cleaver and knocked the tailgate into a hazelnut tree to save time picking them. A buddy had an altercation with a parking bollardin front of a bar. And I honestly don't know what happened to the passenger mirror. It all just adds character. I took a million pictures so you could see for yourself.
The Engine:Runs Strong! I love the sound of that 360 with a foot in it. The fuel lines aren'tcurrentlyhooked up, but I just put a fuel can under the hood and ran a line from the pump and it fired right up and ran great!
Brakes:Not so much. That's why I parked it. You gotta use the e-brake right now. I honestly haven't looked into the problem. Too many projects.
Fuel Tanks:Tank behind the seat has a crusty fill hose. No bueno, but a cheap fix. I drained the other two for winter when I parked it. I'd check them out before filling them up.
Interior:Stock except for a really fancy Sparkomatic tape deck from the 80's. Those things are hard to find these days. The seats have been covered since the day I bought it. I lifted the cover to show the general condition and found an old work glove I lost in 2003.
Running Gear:She's an old truck. Don't take corners at 60 and you'll be just fine.
Extras:It has Mercury valve covers. There are some hub caps on the seat, three inner tubes, a crate of tent stakes, and some beer cans in the back and probably a yellow jacket nest or two. Oh yeah. Don't forget the Sparkomatic tape deck.
I don't want to arrange shipping. That's on you. But I will help a driver load it on a car hauler or a trailer. There are no brakes and the fuel lines aren't hooked up so it's definitely a tow away. Ask questions. I'm sure I forgot something.
This is a NO Reserve Auction. I started it at the price I paid for it in 1999 - $500 plus a half-case of Rainier Beer (current market value: $12.99).
GOOD LUCK!
