1929 Model A Roadster
A roadster is an open two-seat car with emphasis on sporting appearance or character. Initially an American term for a two-seat car with no weather protection, usage has spread internationally and has evolved to include two-seat convertibles.
The beneficiary of an older restoration, time has moved onward, the car has been enjoyed, and we now have a nice car that shows the passage of that time, and the enjoyment that came with it. A 1929 Roadster in fair to good condition, and very fairly priced.
Exterior
Blue body panels in good condition, with some minor gaps showing a bit different around panels, the paint presents nicely. Black covers the running boards and fenders and shows a nice patina, with some scratches and dings. Chrome is not perfect but still presents in fair condition and shows some areas of pitting and just a little rust. The canvas convertible top shows some discoloration and has slight areas of wear but remains operable and goes up and down smoothly. (4) Straw colored spoked wire wheels are seen on all 4 corners.
Interior
A dark tan vinyl bench stretches from dark tan door panel to dark tan door panel. Some wear is seen on all surfaces, but no rips or tears. A super simple dash with chromed "mask style "instrument cluster, shows some rusting, but is functional. An original steering wheel with spark advance lever and throttle/idle lever attached to the column, is fronting the metal dash. The rumble seat is in similar condition as the interior, with a few areas of wear.
Drivetrain
A flat 201ci 4-cylinder engine with some rust at the gasket areas, sits in the engine bay, and is backed by a 3-speed manual transmission.
Undercarriage
Structural integrity, and a good frame rust free is noted underneath. Floorpans and rockers, and running board supports are sturdy. Some areas of moisture "wicking" up possibly from a dirt garage storage floor can be seen on the running boards underneath, but otherwise mostly unremarkable and clean.
A classic roadster, a piece of Ford history, which can be used immediately, with the cosmetic faults described within the above words, overall a working example of a 90 year old car. You would not expect your grandmother to be in such good shape!
