Up for auction is my 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible. This "C" code car is a very nice original example with one repaint, refinished in a correct Poppy Red. I recently purchased this car out of Kentucky, and it's just a nice ole' driver. It was restored a number of years ago, the paint is probably 15+ years old, and is driver quality. It is powered by a smooth running/church mouse 289 in.³ V8 engine mated to a 3-speed cruise O-Matic automatic... transmission. The car runs and drives absolutely fantastic, better than most mustangs that I have owned. It has factory power steering which works excellent. Everything on this car works as it should, including gauges, odometer, Speedometer, radio, power convertible top, fog lamps, exterior lighting, etc. The engine compartment is extremely clean and very well detailed to appear original, including the original air cleaner. The original VIN is still properly stamped on the driver side fender apron. As I mention the paint is older, and I have done a good job highlighting the defects. It has some paint shrinking, chipping, etc. which you will see in the photos. I would give this paint job a strong 6.5 to 7 out of 10. It looks fantastic from 10 feet. The convertible top is in like new condition and function smoothly and properly. The tires are 1" correct size white wall Goodyear radials, mounted to the factory style steel wheels. The pony interior is in excellent condition, upholstery is like new, carpeting is in excellent shape, as well as the dashboard/console/gauges. This car, in my opinion, shows its originality on the interior, it was very well-kept. The interior lights illuminate when the door opens, the radio is working, as well as the gauges which I mentioned above. The undercarriage is in good shape, it did have some patch panels which were done properly and with correct panel replacements, specifically the front floor pans. The torque boxes are also in good shape. The trunk is in good shape, and it is fitted with a factory spare. The windows roll up and down very smooth, not like your typical Mustang. The doors open and close very easily, and it maintains really good gaps throughout. Please look at all 100 photos, I've gone into serious detail to provide you with the most accurate condition via pictures. I encourage and welcome Inspections anytime.
