1976 Ford F250 2wd auto NO RESERVEStarts, runs, drives, shifts, brakes, but see below.
Ignition switch worn out, sometimes won't crank,and have to start at solenoid. Battery weak.
Tires are nearly bald, and weather checked.
Rear brakes barely work, there is fluid loss from rear circuit,and front pads are worn out, wear bar pulsating. Parking brakeis weak.
Recently there was a lot of foam in the oil, there's a picture ofdipstick but hard to make out foam but it was half way up.Ran sealer in radiator and changed oil & filter, no more foam yet,but there is probably a head gasket leak on left side,and smokes when cold on left exhaust. Also the heater core wasleaking inside the cab but stopped after sealer. The air cleaner isnon standard and takes a Dodge filter.
The instrument cluster is out, plastic backing disintegrated (seepicture). That was several years ago accounting for don't knowthe real mileage. Cluster included if you want to fix, also have a set ofgauges if you want just the basic temp, oil, and amps. The oil pan,gasket, transmission pan gasket, rear seals all leak after sitting, not muchwhile driving. Exhaust leak right side header to pipe, bolts are loose.
Though a California truck, after 43 years there is rust on passenger sill,by gas cap, and crack through by rear rack mounts (see pictures).Also rust developing in cab floor pan, starting to perforate driver side.Small dents and holes from hold downs both sides.
Front right bumper and fender bent (see pictures). Hood not alignedon right side. Upper tailgate latch rod bushing gone, must use pliersto pull back and open tailgate. Both edges of tailgate pry marks fromothers that couldn't wait (see pictures). Tailgate does re-latch.
Lots of play in steering gear, and steering column shaft bearing is inbad shape. Power steering does work.Headliner missing. Heaterworks, fan works most of the time. Lights and signals work, exceptrear lenses are cracked and right front has a ground problem. Keydoesn't work in passenger door. Door weatherstripping disintegrating.Both interior handles broken, hard to open w/o pulling on door & easierto open from outside. Windshield has a wiper scratch. Both windowswork, driver side needs help up. Horn doesn't work.
So all in all a 43 year old truck that needs a lot of work depending onhow you want to use it. If you win please please arrange shippingdue to the issues above. Plates not included based on type of sale. If you don't want the rack can get rid of it.
