1967 Ford Mustang Additional Info:
For sale is a 1967 Ford Mustang Coupe. Texas car now in New York. Car was an original 6 cylinder car but was converted to a V8 before I purchased car. I purchased the car in 2012 from a consignment dealer out of Texas. Car was set up with a drag look but I since did extensive work to what you see today. The base however, is in great condition and made for a great starting point. Paint is in good condition, has it's normal issues here and there, mostly chips. No rust to be seen, this is not your normal NY rust bucket. There has been patches to floor but all done correctly and no active rust to be seen. You will not find a cleaner mustang for sale in ny.
Body:
Paint is Brittany Blue, chrome is in good condition. Weather stripping is good, I have been restoring all and have all pieces to complete drivers door and window rollers. Black vinyl "C" stripes. Satin black tail piece and fender emblems.
Interior: Car was originally dark blue/light blue with aqua exterior. A black and blue treatment has been my ongoing theme. Door cards switched to black TMI pieces along with black arm rests. Seats have been reupholstered to a TMI vinyl and suede, with blue stitching accent. Front seats are the Sport R version which have heavy bolstering. Rear seat had new foam installed at the same time. Seat belts are black and 3 point belts added to the front seats for added safety. Non AC car, the heater box and core is brand new along with all conversion pieces for a straight heat setup. A Grant challenger steering wheel in black completes the theme inside as well as a sony CD player.
Electrical:
Entire interior harness was removed, checked, recovered and reinstalled with new style, blade type fuse panels for both constant and ignition power. Headlight circuit has relays for each light to take the strain off the headlamp switch and circuit. Battery, water temp and oil pressure guages are located under radio. Color matched kick panels with speakers are located in the foot wells.
Exhaust:
Hedman headers to a custom exhaust system consisting if 2.5" mandrel bent and butt welded sections, X pipe and magnaflow straight mufflers with dumps under the rear floor pans. Car is loud, this was the way I liked it but the wife surely didnt.
Wheels and tires:
Black crater soft 8 steel wheels 17x7 in front and 17x8 in rear wrapped in Hankook V12's. Treads in like new conditions. Fenders have been rolled to help fitment.
Suspension:
This is where I spent most of my time. Originally I set car up on a full grab-a-trak setup but have since been upgrading to a StreetorTrack kit. Currently has new front springs with a coil removed, poly spacers on top. Front and rear way bar. Front lower tubular Streetortrack control arms. Front Streetortrack adjustable strut rods, solid mount with heim joints. New front upper ball joints. Rear has 4.5 leaf lowering springs and Grab-a-trak shocks all around.
Steering:
A Unisteer power rack and pinion control the steering and make this car ride on rails, very responsive. Front spindles are Granada style.
Brakes:
Front brakes are a Granada swap disc conversion done by the previous owner. Rear are the original drum set up from the V8 drive train conversion. Front brake hoses upgraded to stainless braided from Streetortrack. Rear line to axle hose, I have the stainless hose but never got around to installing.
Engine:
Not my strongest area of expertise but I'll do my best. Engine is a 302 Jasper reman crate engine installed by previous owner. Edelbrock performer carb 650 and intake along with an edelbrock air filter on top. MSD e curve distributor replaced the ignition box. MSD blaster coil and wires. Moroso coolant overfill bottle. Champion aluminum radiator 20". Derale single electric fan with modulating speed control.
Car has to been seen, always a head turner. I was lucky enough to find a car of this condition, bring it to NY, where cars of this condition are few and far between. Someone will surely enjoy this car as is or take it to the next level. I am sure I have forgotten something here and there.
