1965 Ford Mustang Additional Info:
1965 Mustang 2 door hard top with standard bucket seats. Original paint color is Silver Blue with blue and blue trim interior . Car was built November 30th first year in San Jose. Rear axle is a 2.80:1. Transmission was originally a 3 speed but now is a 4 speed. Engine 289 2 barrel now 4 barrel. This info is from the door tag. Car also has power steering.
Car runs and drives with lots of new parts. New parts are as follows, starter, starter solenoid, points and condenser, master cylinder, gas tank and filler neck, F&R shocks, Holley 600cfm with electric choke carburetor, restored dash cluster with reproduction bezel, all 4 new tires 195-60-15's. black carpet (not installed).
289 engine has aluminum Offenhauser intake, New holley 600, aluminum valve covers, aluminum oil pan and runs strong. I know nothing about the internal parts (factory or aftermarket, stock or high performance). I do not know if it is the original engine.
All the glass is good, windshield leaks do to bad rubber seal not rust.
Interior needs to be redone, original seats, console were stolen in storage. Started to piece the interior back together, bucket seats are good with some split seams. Back seat isn't the best as seller didn't describe it truthfully when purchased here on ebay. No head liner in car and there is NO console.
This car needs restored but can be enjoyed as is while you work on it. Car will need exhaust as it is just manifolds to pipes. Car still has the California Title from 1978 and is clear and ready to transfer.
Please ask all questions before bidding and a deposit is required immediately after auctions end. Balance can be paid by cashiers check but car will not be released until 10 days after it has been deposited. With all the scammers out there, this is the way my bank has advised me to do it. I am not a car salemans so I must follow their advise. Bank transfer can be done and it will instantly release the car as well as cash in person. If you are having the car shipped you must make the arrangements and I will make the car available to them for pick up.
Again, this car needs restored but it has a great head start on it and is a factory V8 car.
