1987 Ford Crown Victoria LTD Additional Info:
PLEASE NOTE:This car was previously listed a few weeks ago and "sold" on eBay, but the buyer did not know what he was doing, and ended up not being able to afford to both buy and ship the car, so the deal fell apart. Please do not bid on this car if you cannot buy it! Shipping is your responsibility. The car is located in Santa Fe, New Mexico 87505 USA. Please plan accordingly.I have lowered the opening bid to move this car along, and there is still no reserve.
1987 Ford LTD Crown Victoria.$ 2,000 opening bid, and no reserve!80,500 actual miles.
Fuel Injected Ford 302 ci / 5.0 liter Windsor V-8.
4-speed Automatic.
Everything works, including the Air Conditioning, but please don't expect it to be like a modern car!
When the A/C cycles on and off you can hear a little click from the compressor. It does not affect the performance, and has done it since I bought the car 5 years ago.
Cruise control.
Original radio.
Manual windows and locks.
Interior has no rips, tears or stains.
Dash has a few faded spots, but no cracks or warping.
Windshield has some rock chips and is pitted, but there are no cracks. Looks like it's the original.
Landau roof is in good shape. Faded here and there, but no holes, rips, etc.
Paint is a bit faded, and pin-striping on hood is faded.
Good tires, all 4 matching. Compact spare. Original tools included.
Has a little scrape on the driver's side rear fender (see photo).
There are also a couple of small dings on the hood.
They don't show up in photos, but are visible in certain lighting conditions.
Non-original tint in rear and side windows has air bubbles.
On long drives (100+ miles) on hot days, you can hear the fuel pump. On this particular model the fuel pump is external to the gas tank, so it's much louder than an internal pump submerged in gasoline. The upside is that it's easy to replace if you should want to, but I never did it since I wanted to keep the original Ford pump, and it still works just fine.
Two sets of original Ford keys, and original owner's manual.
I prefer dealing with local buyers who can come and look at the car, check it out personally, and take it for a drive. Having said that, I don't mind coordinating with an auto transport of your (the buyer's) choice as long as you set everything up, and pay for all transport and associated costs.
And let's be realistic..... is this car spotless and like new?
No, it's 32 years old, so there will always be little things here and there. It's the nature of classic cars. But this is a very nice original, great running, clean, straight and rust free classic New Mexico car.
An understated cool 80's retro automobile...... anyone in the movie industry?
I have owned and enjoyed it for 5 years.
Clean New Mexico title (in my name) in hand.
