1978 Ford F-150 Ranger Additional Info:
Selling my '78 F-150 Stepside. Truck was recently painted Hatteras Green Metallic. It is a Florida truck and is rust free. It is in nice driver condition, not a show truck but very nice. I bought it as a father-son project and have done extensive work to it since. I'm selling due to too many toys in the garage, including a 67 F-100 we are currently working on. I have added a lot to this truck since I've owned it to get to this condition both aesthetically and mechanically and it is truly turn key and driven to shows almost every weekend. You will not be disappointed. It does have factory A/C but would need the condenser and evaporator to make functional again. Numbers matching 400 with C6 automatic trans that was just rebuilt with a new torque converter. It has a 3" lift that makes it look really tough sitting on 16" rims with 285 Bridgestone Duelers with 70% life left. I have over $6K in receipts that I would be happy to share as all the mechanical work has been done professionally right here in the Orlando area. Here is a list of what's been added to make it a great reliable driver:
> Stock C6 transmission just rebuilt with new torque converter and SS lines, new kick-down cable> New Master Cylinder> New Power Steering Pump> Freshly rebuilt transfer case> New 19 gallon fuel tank with new straps> New Aluminum Radiator w/shroud and 180 thermostat...runs cool even in Florida heat> New Edelbrock 650 ffm 4-barrel carb, air cleaner and assembly, new fuel filter and lines> New plugs, wires, cap and rotor> Original bench seat, headliner and visors> New OEM black carpet> New truck bed sub-frame rails and oak slats finished in dark finish> New chains on tailgate w/black chain covers> POR-15 on frame> Bed sides and gate were done in Herculiner roll-on coating
Here's what is my son and I planned on addressing next:
> New brakes all around. It stops good now but we were going to restore to factory new> New retro style Bluetooth radio. Currently has old style 2 knob radio and door speakers but does turn on. I think it just needs to be wired for power
