1989 Mustang LX 5.0l convertible

1989 Ford Mustang Additional Info:

1989 Mustang 5.0 LX w/ 106k miles. 25th anniversary Convertible in Scarlet Red with black top and red interior. The interior is original and paint appears to be as well. This car is not a race car or a trailer queen, it has been a reliable and fun cruiser for me.

Cruise Control, power seats, Cassette Stereo, A/C, Power windows, Power Mirrors, Tilt/Telescope Steering Wheel, electric trunk and gas door release.

Starts every time and runs well. I don’t hesitate to drive it anywhere. I have owned the car for over 4 years and driven it on weekends, except winter if salt is on the roads.

Engine runs smooth with good power and it drives straight, brakes are good (stops good with no pulling), factory AOD auto transmission shifts smoothly, exhaust tone is throaty but mellow, not obnoxious, (slightly louder than stock) Top goes up and down without problems. All the glass is good. The wipers work. A/C works (but needs seals (15 bucks) and recharge). I never bothered replacing seals since I usually just put the top down and ride. Red convertible boot in the trunk, however I never use it. I just drop the top and enjoy. Many upgrades have been done with an effort to maintain stock appearance and the ability to return to stock if preferred. Many OEM original parts that were replaced have been boxed and go with the car if you wish to put back to factory correct.

Ford 16x7 (1991-1993 Mustang 5 spoke) wheels w/General Exclaim UHP unidirectional 225/55 R 16 tires (tread like new), 3.73 Richmond Gear, Flowmaster Force II Exhaust System with Polished Stainless Tips, BBK Cat X-Pipe with new O2 Sensors, Edelbrock Equal Length Ceramic coated Shorty Headers, Stage 8 Locking Header bolts, BBK 65MM Throttle Body and EGR Spacer, C&L MAF Sensor and Intake Tube, Ford Racing (FRPP) Cold Air Intake, Ford Strut Tower Brace, KYB Front Struts and Rear Shocks, Rebuilt Steering Rack, Prothane Red Engine and Transmission Mounts, FRPP Spark Plug Wires, new plugs, Accell Cap & Rotor, New aluminum Radiator, hoses and 180 deg Thermostat, new fuel filter, New Black Pinpoint Convertible Top. New Ford Battery Cables, New Headlights, turn signal and parking light kit, new wipers, rear frame connectors included but not installed.

Car is in great shape, but this car is 30 years old. There are a few signs of age. Paint is not perfect but looks great for the age and appears to be original (wearing slightly at body seams). Steering has a little play. Converters were previously deleted, Temperature sender isn’t working, but gauge is good. Car has always run cool, never any overheating concerns. The heat and A/C work.
