1929 Ford Model A Additional Info:
I'm selling this car for my brother. Up for auction is a 1929 Woody Station wagon. This is a very nice looking car and really draws the crowds at the car shows. The interior and exterior wood has been beautifully crafted on this car. The car has a GM 305 V8, with an Edelbrock intake manifold and 4 barrel Edelbrock carb. The transmission is a 350 turbo
.
This was an off frame, boxed and powder coated restoration. The front end is a Mustang II, and the rear differential is an S-10 with 4 bar rear suspension. Both front windows are power. The driver side window gets stuck sometimes when going up, or down because the inside clearance is too tight. It needs to be taken apart and the inner wood sanded down just a tad to allow the window go up and down without any obstruction.
The tires are in great shape with 15" rear, and 14" front nostalgic wheels. Power Disc brake front, and drum brake rear. Tilt Steering Wheel.
The car drives really well. The Chevy 305 is a take out engine from a donor car and runs strong and is very dependable. The transmission has a little over 3100 miles on since rebuild.
In addition to the nice wood, the black paint looks great and shines very well. There are a few small places on the front and rear fenders that had recent body work done, because the original bodywork in those specific areas was not up to standards. These were straightened out nicely, and primered black so it blends in with the paint to not look too noticeable. We have included photos to show these specific areas. If you want it perfect, you would have to have the black shot again.
This is a car that you can hop in a go for a nice long drive and feel comfortable that it will get you back and forth dependably without any problems. For those long drives, a nice AM/FM/CD player with front and rear speakers provides some really good sounds.
The car looks really nice as it currently is, and is so much fun to take to cruise ins and car shows. It's usually the only Woody at these events, and groups of people crowd around the car and enjoy checking it out and taking pictures.
