1929 Ford Model A Deluxe Additional Info:
Wow! Stock 1929 Ford Model A Truck Deluxe!! A dry (rust free) California truck. This is the deluxe model I'm told because it has taillights on both rear fenders. This truck also has the rear bumpers. Titled as actual mileage at 63,193. We've had the truck for two years. It was stored indoors in a nice building by the seller in California for the first year I owned it. Then the seller needed the space so I had it shipped in a covered trailer in June 2018 to Maryland. A club member has been nice enough to let me store it in there shop for the last year. They need the space so I need to sell this beautiful Ford. I have driven it about forty five miles. Enough to know it runs well and that is doesn't overheat or burn oil. The previous owner bought the truck from his neighbor in California who cared for this truck with the best care and kept the truck in his garage. The last owner replaced the water pump because it was leaking a little bit. The battery was new when I bough the truck and is working well. It has the six volt system with a six volt alternator which charges the battery quicker and provides quicker starts and brighter headlights. I have changed the fan belt, spark plugs, and one headlight bulb. It looks like the wiring harness is new. The speedometer / odometer cable has been replaced. Another reason I believe the title is true is because the speedometer / odometer housing was sealed. I had to open it to lubricate it to be sure the new cable would work and not break. I showed the housing to the people at Bratton's Antique Auto Parts in Mount Airy, MD where I bought the new cable and they were impressed that it was still sealed from the factory. They suggested I open it to be sure it wasn't frozen up inside. I was happy to find that the main shaft was turning so I added some lubrication to help it spin even easier and put it back on the dash with the new cable and everything works fine. The truck comes with four new tires as the current tires are cracking on the sidewalls. (The buyer will need to install as I haven't had time). The chest in the back was built by the old man in California. The pictures show the contents, (extra gas, water, a few tools, lug wrench, jack, air pump, funnel, etc.) Its good to have extra gear on the road even though this Model A runs terrific. The wood under the rug in the bed is in good condition. The rug just protects it. I haven't found any rust. The undercarriage is very clean. The truck has a Motometer for the radiator. You can also see a red switch on the floor. This is a power cut off switch that the last owner installed that just turns off and on. When you turn the key off in the dash turn the red switch off too. A good measure for theft protection. Please email any questions. This is a beautiful well running truck with a fresh coat of wax. Selling as is with no warranties expressed or implied. This truck is in remarkable condition for a ninety year old vehicle, but it's not perfect. I will consider reasonable and fair offers. Buyer will ship or pick up in person. Payment is cash or cashiers check. PayPal is only for deposit of $200.00. Thank-you for looking and communicating.
