1937 Ford Other Additional Info:
What I have for sale is a 37 ford standard Tudor slantback model 74. This car has great original patina and even has 2 old bullet holes in the drivers side. This car has the 60hp flathead and was originally gull gray. Car sat in a barn in Montana for 55yrs until a gentleman from Las Vegas found it while on vacation. He worked on it for 6 years had health issues put it up for sale. I have always wanted to build a 37 and figured this was a great candidate. I have had this car for 2 years and have not touched it. Just collected parts for it. Car is a great candidate for either a stock restoration or rod. Car has hardly any rust besides the typical 30's ford rust on the rear fenders at the running boards and the rust out of the inner tool tray and outer tail pan. Has some small areas on the floor pans that need patched and small spot where front fenders meet firewall which is also typical. Very small hole on both bottom doors size of a dime. Both doors do have typical 30's Ford sag and hinges will need heated and bent. All body panels are very usable just need dents taken out and straightening minimal patching if any. Hood has some dents and typical broke spot on drivers side where a lot of even finished cars will crack because of the hood prop rod getting stuck. Hood sides need work I do have a restored set in primer for sale separately. Previous owner took a grinder to the old grille to get it out and put some gouges in hood sides and fender but any body man can fix it. I also have an NOS 37 hood for purchase and NOS front passenger fender. Grille was damaged when parked in barn and windshield was taken out for some reason so both of those are missing. I do have a very nice chrome windshield and crank out for purchase. Car has cheap repop grille previous owner put on. I do have 2 originals for purchase separately. Has new gas tank and new steering column lock with key. New hood hinges, radiator support rods and new radiator hoses and spark plug wires all done by previous owner. Car is pretty much complete is missing of course grille, windshield, and crank out, the bumper guards the headlight rings, rear view mirror bracket and a few other minor parts. Car has no glass except rear window. Brakes are original and do not work car does not run but previous owner says it did. Car has all garnish moldings, complete dash, seats and window regulators. I do have complete dash and garnishes all woodgrained and restored for sale separately too. I also have a lot of the original chrome parts re-chromed and all stainless sent out and straightened that is available for purchase separately also I have bought a lot of the rubber and hardware for the car from Bob Drake along with the fender brackets and other things. I also bought the new tool tray, outer tail panel and complete trunk floor kit from EMS. I figured i would use some of the trunk floor kit for patches for the other spots in the floor. Car also has all new wiring. I can explain the entire car to anyone and I have a ton of pictures that e**y wouldn't let me use. I also have a big collection of NOS 37 parts and a lot of restored parts available for this car to be purchased separately if someone chooses to. If doing original restoration I have a lot of items to complete this car. Car will make someone a great project I just don't have the time to do it and am really unsure if this is what I want to do. Car can possibly be delivered if not really far away for a fee. Message me for more pictures I have a ton. Mike 815-343-9102. $500 deposit by PayPal at auction end. Thanks and Good Luck!
