1979 Ford F-250 F 250 custom Additional Info:

1979 Ford F250 crew cab, short box, 4x4, 400 engine with auto trans. Power steering, AC and cruise control, with duel mufflers, but all else is stock. The truck has 112,440 miles. It was purchased new in 1979, which was the last year ford made crew cabs for a while. The truck was white with red interior. We had it painted blue, as soon as we purchased it new, and had the seats re-upholstered to blue also.

We drove the truck mainly in the summer for 17 years and then put it in storage, as we had purchased a new F250 crew cab. The tires that are on the truck now, are not the tires it was stored with. Our hope was to restore it to be like new, but time and our age has gotten the best of us. The truck frame has only a little surface rust and the body is very sound. The truck box had carpet in it that was glued down, but no rust in the box. The driver’s door has rust at the mirror mount area. There is rust on the bottom of two doors. The engine runs, but I am sure it could use a tune up. The truck would make someone a very good, sound project truck for a restoration. Any questions please phone us at 608-934-5285.
