1937 Ford 5-Window Coupe Additional Info:
This is an incredible vintage Hotrod driven by Piggy Bennett on Daytona Beach and at Jacksonville Speedway. Piggy is a Jacksonville Hall of Fame driver. The body and chassis are in incredible condition with no rust, no accidents and in absolutely fantastic shape. I properly prepared the body and primed it for paint. All it needs is the final primer sanding/prep and it's ready for paint. The only glass is the windshield which is in great shape. There is no side or back glass but this is readily available for about $300.
It has a 1942 24-stud 100HP Ford Flathead with Edelbrock heads, Edelbrock Intake, and dual Stromberg 97's. I suspect it has a hotter than stock cam but can't confirm that since I did not tear into the motor. It runs real sweet with it's open racing headers. It has 40 Ford juice brakes. As typical of this vintage race car, it runs a generator spool only; It will need a generator and fan to run the streets. It already has a 12V starter and ignition.
It has a brand new gas tank, sending unit, and filler assembly. The radiator was pressure tested and flushed. The carbs are completely rebuilt and work just great.
Whether you want a vintage race car or a cool street machine, this is an fantastic foundation to build from. The body is straight as an arrow and the chassis and undercarriage are absolutely pristine. It would take very little work to make into a really cool hotrod.
Don't pass up this opportunity. This is a rock solid foundation for a fantastic hotrod or vintage race car build. It has all the best of vintage parts; a rock solid all original body, an incredibly clean chassis with 40' juice brakes and rear end, a killer sounding Ford Flathead V8 with the original Edelbrock Heads, Intake, and dual 97's. I could go on an on about good this car is. Keep it as a vintage stock car and run the vintage races or finish it off for a great street machine. It has so many possibilities.
