1975 Ford Pinto Wagon 2- door
2017 drag racer build/re-build project- HNRA under 100mph, ran the 1/4 mile in 14.7sec. @ 93mph/14" tires
engine: 1966 Ford 289 c.i. About 500 miles on re-build
Stock bore and stroke, flat top pistons, valve re-leafs, ported and polished, heads are: 178 intake, 150 exhaust, stock valve springs, new camshaft, double roller timing chain, custom motor mounts, customized exhaust headers, Thrush glass packs, re-built C-4 auto trans. Torque converter and shift kit, 8" Ford Mustang rear end, spool locked posi-track 410 gearing, full high rise, carb is a 600 Holley Classic single pump, new brake job, new power steering pump. The picture of the box is the rear end limited slip gearing. After these pictures were taken I detailed out the engine compartment (the engine sure looks pretty!) and cleaned/shampooed the interior fabric and carpet. Things to do to complete this project and make it show quality: A few small dents fixed, a hood scoop fabricated, a new paint job, new door window seals, door hinges re-adjusted, door fabric re-stretched, front seats re-covered, dash re-covered, floor carpet repaired, a small fluid leak repaired, hotter racing plugs and then re-tune the engine, a tach/strobe installed, and a new radio/sound system. If you want the heater to work, modify the small racing radiator and re-connect the hoses. The Pinto has it's 5 layer all season car cover on and is parked in my back yard.
