1950 Ford Other Fire Truck Additional Info:
1950 Ford F7 American LaFrance / Foamite Fire Engine, built at the Elmira, NY Factory, Factory tags on the cab cowl.
Vehicle is 98% intact as built as fire pumper. No rust damage / clean stored in a metal building. Engine is a Flat Head V8 and can run, but will need minor work, as it has not run in some time. The carburetor was recently rebuilt and will need to be re-installed. Fuel system will need to be cleaned and it will need 6 volt battery.
Also included in the sale is various period fire equipment: to include but not limited to - Fire Hose, Booster Hose, Hard Suction, Ladder, Extinguishers, Foamite Applicator, 6/volt Motorola Two-Way Radio and factory radio compartment. Booster Reel on back step. All red emergency lights and siren as displayed in images are included.
Located near Albany, New York in East Greenbush.
This is a perfect fire truck restoration project, almost everything is present to finish and have an award winner. Also have some original documents for the truck, was originally in service at Stratford, New Jersey Fire Dept.
