1969 Ford Mustang GRANDE Additional Info:
This is a survivor 1969 Grande Mustang that has been in Texas and the same family since it was new. Father passed it to his daughter then I bought it. It has been sitting for some time inside the Daughter's garage and well cared for. It has new tires, a new tune, fluids changed, brakes serviced, new belts, hoses, and an AC charge. Everything works and it's only drawback is that the paint was redone a number of years ago and is showing its age. It has also had a full restoration of the interior and it is as new. No splits, stains or issues of any kind. Tank has been drained and cleaned, carb rebuilt and lines flushed. New battery, new wheel cylinders, brake linings are excellent, new fuel pump, conversion to electronic ignition, new window flats, oil change.
The "Grande" was the "Gentleman's" Mustang vs the Mach 1 for the young jet setter. There were 22182 Grande's made out of the total Mustang production run in 1969 of 299,824...putting the Grande at just over 7% of total production. The Grande retailed for $2849 vs $3122 for the Mach 1.
To the best of our knowledge actual mileage is 111,586, based on recorded mileage and data books.
Original paperwork back to the time of original sale will come with the car including maintenance records and mileage logs.
In my opinion the following ratings apply:
Paint: 5 out of 10, Paint can be left as is and driven, or redone to make the car an outstanding collector. One door ding on passenger door about the size of the tip of your little finger. Otherwise, panels are largely straight and nothing worthy of notice.Engine bay: Detailed and redone 10 of 10Interior: Detailed and redone 9.5 of 10Trunk: Clean and tidy 8 of 10Undercarriage: Good working order 7 of 10Tires: New 10 of 10Chrome: All present and 8 of 10
Overall: A solid car that with a repaint will be close to new in terms of appearance and performance.
It has original metal in the floor pans and NO rust. Car is a Texas car and runs and drives as it should. No known issues.
