America's most notorious 4x4 is also becoming a great collectable. This 1991 Ford Bronco Silver Anniversary edition is officially eligible for the AACA (Antique Automobile Club of America) and remains the pinnacle of full-sized Bronco fun. Approximately 3,000 of these Broncos were made to celebrate 25 years of SUV dominance, making this the one to own if you've always admired the full-size Bronc. Ford did gangbuster business in the late '80s and early '90s with their upscale... off-road machines, and none fared better than the full-sized Bronco. While most came in primary colors, the Silver Anniversary received a package-exclusive Currant Red finish. Preserved well to this day without any major bumps and bruises, although a professional cut-and-buff would go a long way to restoring this Bronco's former glory. The chrome bumpers have been swapped out for a set of heavy-duty black steel replacements, featuring an available winch for up front (available with purchase, but not currently installed) and LED lightbar out back. Another LED lightbar is neatly integrated in the factory grille, and black step bars provide accent symmetry and functional support. Note the Silver Anniversary badges on both sides of the removable hard-top and front fenders, an exclusive touch to show everyone that this rig is special. The interior is another very pleasant surprise, offering comfortable leather buckets and lots of space for five. Silver Anniversaries all received limited two-tone colors inside, featuring gray leather seats accented with Currant Red inserts and matching door panels. The seats and panels show some wear, but could you really blame anyone for enjoying themselves in the rugged SUV throughout the years? Matching red carpets are in very good shape and provide a plush feel, and as the most expensive of the Ford SUVs, this Bronco sports just about every feature in the book: power windows and locks, cruise control, and factory R12 A/C that still blows hard and cold! A wide center console offers plenty of storage as well as a handy place to put your coffee and the dash is one of the more car-like features of this big truck. A full array of big, legible gauges are in front of the driver, with the climate controls and modern AM/FM/CD stereo waaaaay over there in the center of the dash. The matching backseat is intact but does show a good bit of wear and the cargo bay (with matching clean carpet) is positively massive, especially with the matching spare tire now living outside on a swing-away rack. Ford's erstwhile 5.0L V8 EFI is a great choice to move all this sheetmetal, providing plenty of low-end torque that never feels strained. Rebuilt 3,000 miles ago and well-maintained since, the engine is ready to power this Bronco for thousands of miles into the future. Despite a vast aftermarket, this one remains quite stock, from the long intake hoses from the remote air filter to the intake that was specifically designed to bolster the torque curve. The engine bay is as clean as the rest of the truck, and if it's ever seen anything rougher than a gravel driveway, we'd be surprised. With a rebuilt 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission and a 2-speed transfer case, this truck is equally happy at higher speeds or crawling at barely a walking pace, and the Skyjacker suspension is built for off-roading that would otherwise strand one of today's "cute utes." Even the exhaust system is quite stock, offering a baritone, smooth hum instead of cackling V8 horsepower, but that's the point of the Silver Anniversay model. New axles, a new lift, new rear end gears, and dual Optima batteries ensure that it's ready to drive. Handsome factory Mickey Thompson alloy wheels are bright and shiny, wearing BFGoodrich Mud Terrain radials ready for the elements. If you grew up in the early '90s, you know this is a cool truck, and you just won't find more luxurious go-anywhere transportation for less cash than this. A lifelong Southern truck with a rare pedigree, this Bronco is quite the find and won't last long. Call today!
