1959 Ford Other 2dr Additional Info:

Up for auction is our restored 1959 ford 2 door Ranch Wagon. these dont come around every day so heres your chance to own a unique car that grabs attention where ever it goes. From its slick and shiny red and white pain, the eye catching red and white interior, even the engine compartment is detailed nicely. it is also very well equipt with options. The interior is complete with new vintage type air conditioning that will keep you cool even in this Texas heat, it has tilt wheel, power front seat, and fold down rear seat, all guages work and a vitnage sun tach has been tastefully installed in dash. the overall interior shows very little signs of wear and was completelly restored including kick panel, seats and cushions, door panels, headliner, carpet even the painted surfaces were refinished and a real wood dash insert added..The exterior was refinished in Red and white with a very straight and solid body to start with. with no rust thru and minimal surface rust, one of the many advantages of buying a classic in Texas due to climate. The bright work is very presentable with thw worst being slight checking on door handles a small ding here and there and a spot on rear bumper that is peeling., glass wind shield and hatch glass are in good shape, sides windows are tinted slightly and rool upand down as they shoul, with no rattles, thanks to new window seals, sweeps fuzzies. This by far the most complete set of trim i have ever seen of one of these 2 dr ranch wagons. The suspension is great, with newer shocks and brakes have beed up graded to 4 wheel power disc brakes, a very neat hidden upgrade, and the power steering is a factory typr rack and pinion from the late 50's and 60's original i assume. the bushings appear to be good with no obvious failures or damages and it drives good or better than cars of that era. the rear is a 9" with a 3:00 ratio which allows for good high way speeds with out excessive rpm. Drivetrain was rebuilt. Engine has no taps, knocks, or noises out of the ordinary and has 60psi of oil pressure and dosnt coat your garage floor with crude oil. It is 2 barrel, has oem type chrome valve covers and open element chrome air filter. next on the list is the reconditioned radiator which keeps her cool even with the a'c blasting The 3 speed standard trans recieved a freshen up with new clutch kit and bearing and has had its shifter moved to the floor for that vintage hotrod look and added shift dependability . transmission shifts awesom, no more hunting that h pattern on the column. or unsticking column shift linkage..
All in all its a very attractive and unique vehicle that can win local shows and typically gets crazy attention and and a varity of curious questions including how did you make it a 2 dr to did you modify hood to open like corvette(i assure both functions are as they came from uncle Henry Ford .it is an older restoration that has obviouslly been garaged and pampered but does have a few small imperfection, chips that have been touched up and a small ding on a trim piece here and there hardlly noticeable and it is in exceptional condition for a car of this age. this car has almost always secured the peoples choice spot and has pissed off more that one early corvette owner including me) parked next to it wondering why 15 people just walked right by his c2 to look at a...A....A STATION WAGON!!!!! it drives down the road good with nicelly ballanced wide white wall tires that appear new with good even tread wear.(although it drives good with these tires, they are bias ply tires and i feel it could be even better with radials)
If you want it BID ON IT !! if you want to know the reserve, BID ON IT!!! i will not spend my time answering "what is the reserve" questions, but i will do my very best to get you questions about this car and features answered in a timely manner, SO ASK QUESTIONS, dont assume, ASK QUESTIONS!!!! the only way to know details that i have misse, and im sure there a bunch is to ASK QUESTIONS!! but please, if you have a question that could effect your decision to bid or buy this wagon, please do not submit it 2 hrs before auction end and then get upset that you didnt git an answer before bidding quits. iF you would like additional pictures, PLEASE request them early, it takes time to do it although i have quite a few in compute, make picture request early. I will not end auction early, save for the fact that it is for sale locally(un advertised), and i reserve the right to remove it if sold. it will not be remove if it goes the final 2 days of auction.. I encourage inspections, by a bidder or third party, and i am very flexable time wise but i will need notice.i can pick up at ether Sanantonio international or austin international airport and i do feel this car would not have a problem on your trip home. i cannot garrantee this ! it is only my opnion based on the driving of this car. i will require a 2000 deposit within 24 hrs of auction that can be done with paypal and the ballance will be due in three day, no exceptions unless arrangments are made prior to auction end. Thanks and happy bidding!!!
