1965 Ford Mustang Fastback 2+2 Additional Info:

65 MUSTANG FASTBACK 2+2 BLAST FROM THE PAST AND SHE STILL LOOKS NICE. A CODE CAR WITH 4 SPEED TOP LOADER. THE ENGINE IS NOW A 68' 302 casting# C80E-6015-A, WHICH IS A 302 OR A SHELBY 302 WITH CRANE FIREBALL CAM 294 DURATION 464 LIFT, HOLLEY 650 4 BBL, HI RISE, HEADERS WITH 325 POSI IN THE 8 INCH REAR. SOUNDS AND DRIVES GREAT. HISTORY: THIS CAR WAS BUILT THIS WAY IN 1977 TO 81 USING SETUP GUIDE LINES... BY SCCA RACER AND PERFORMANCE PART SUPPLIER BILL MAIER. THE MAIER CATALOG FROM 1978 AS SEEN IN PHOTOS GOES WITH CAR PLUS RECEIPTS AND PAPERS FROM THOSE YEARS. THE GUY THAT BUILT IT,WHO WAS THE 1ST OWNER, STORED THE CAR OFF THE GROUND IN HEATED GARAGE SAVING THE NOSTALGIC HISTORY OF THE CAR. HE DID DO SOME AUTOCROSS WITH THE CAR BUT I DID NOT SEE ANY TIME TICKETS, ETC. TO THE FACT. THERE IS A RECEIPT FOR THOSE TIRES IN 1978 AND ET RIMS. THERE IS A RECEIPT IN 1981 WHEN FRONTEND WAS ALIGNED SHOWING LIKE 72000 MILES AND NOW SHOWS 77000 AND TITLE MARKED ACTUAL MILES. SO, NOW HE HAD IT READY TO DRIVE. VERY COOL AND VERY NICE CONDITION FOR ALL THESE YEARS. I DID FIND A 1992 RECEIPT WHERE THE NEW BUCKETS WERE PURCHASED. THIS IS WHEN THE 1ST OWNER GAVE TO HIS SON. HE INSTALLED THE KENTWOOD STEREO ALSO. BUT SPEAKERS ARE REMOVED. ALSO INSTALLED NEW GAS TANK AND REBUILT CARB. THEN A FRIEND OF THAT FAMILY BOUGHT THE CAR LAST JANUARY. THAT GUY BOUGHT NEW PLUGS, CHANGED THE OIL, REPLACED MOST BRAKE LINES, NEW HOSES, THE CALIPERS, PADS, REAR DRUMS, SHOES AND WHEEL CYLINDERS. HE DROVE IT TWICE AND SOLD IT TO GET SOMETHING ELSE. THEN I BOUGHT IT. WE CLEANED IT UP, ADJUSTED CLUTCH, CHECKED ELECTRIC AND CHECKED ALL FLUIDS. THEN TEST DROVE . SHE DRIVES GREAT AND STRAIGHT. OTHER PERFORMANCE: DIG THIS, THE FRONT AND SIDE AIR DUCTS ARE ACTUALLY FUNCTIONAL WITH HOSE BLOWING ON THE BRAKES. 1 INCH THICK FRONT STABILIZER BAR, QUICK RATIO STEERING BOX NON POWER, FOG LIGHTS, EURO HEADLIGHTS, HD SHOCKS, HAS SHELBY OUTSIDE MIRRORS, corvette 4 core radiator with thermostatic control electric fan, AND THE 302 ENGINE IS BUILT TO 277 HP. IT HAS SEAT BELTS BUT I DON'T KNOW IF THEY QUALIFY FOR AUTOCROSS OR COMPETITION. THE BODY: THE FRONT OF THE MAIER CATALOG SHOWS ALOT OF THE PARTS THE GUY PUT ON THE CAR. THE FIBERGLAS FLARES ARE GOOD BUT 3 HAVE CRACKED THRU PAINT AS SEEN IN PHOTOS. THERE ARE ROD CHIPS ON NOSE AND ON QUARTERS BUT STILL STRAIGHT AND SHINNY. IT DOES HAVE RUST REPAIR TO THE REAR FRAME RAILS LIKE MOST, THE LAST 12 INCHES. IT DOES HAVE A RUST HOLE IN THE LEFT SHOCK TOWER ABOVE FRAME AT FRONT ABOUT 4X1 INCH. THE DRIVER SIDE FRONT FLOOR COULD USE A SHORT PAN. THE RIGHT SIDE COULD USE A LONG FRONT PAN. AND THE TRUNK HAS 2 SMALL HOLES ON THE SIDES FROM THE GAS TANK. THERE IS A COUPLE RUSTY SPOTS AT FRONT BOTTOM OF DRIVER DOOR AND A BONDO PATCH FRONT OF OTHER DOOR CORNER, 3X3 INCH. THATS IT. THOSE ARE ORIGINAL QUARTERS AND DOORS. NOT SURE ABOUT FENDERS. ALL THE CHROME AND TRIM STILL LOOKS GREAT. INTERIOR: THE INSIDE GOOD FOR AGE. DASH PAD LOOKS GOOD AS NEW AND FRONT SEATS. THE DOOR PANELS AND BACK SEAT WERE SPRAYED BLACK AND SOME COMING OFF. ALL GAUGES WORKING, HEATER FAN WORKS, WIPERS WORK AND LIGHTS. RADIO I THINK JUST NEEDS SPEAKERS SINCE IT COMES ON. HORN DON'T WORK. NO E-BRAKE. DOORS AND WINDOWS WORK WELL. WINDSHIELD HAS 2 ROCK CHIPS. AND IT DOES DRIVE VERY WELL WITH THOSE OLD POLYGLAS TIRES. NOTE: SELLING AS IS WITH NO WARRANTY. I HAVE POSTED 84 PHOTOS AND THE LAST ONE IS THE MAIERS CATALOG NEXT TO DOOR TAG. MAKE OFFER. WE DELIVER ALL OVER. FOR PRICE I NEED ZIP CODE OR IF OUT OF USA I NEED PORT AND COUNTRY. FINANCE THIS CAR AS LOW AS 3.90% AND SAME DAY FUNDING. CALL FOR INFO.
