1949 Ford F-100 Additional Info:
Here for your consideration is a nicely done fat fender ford. This f-6 was a 2 ton cab that sat off the ground and lived in a barn in southeast Tn. for all its lif, probably a old flatbed. It is solid with no rust through anywhere . Floors are soli, no door sag, open and shut perfectly and line up well. The floor has been notched a little for the drive shaft. New front and rear glass along with seals. Side glass is fully functional on both sides and they are lexan. The bed is late sixties dodge bed that has been shortened and narrowed to fit the s-10 chassis. It still retains s-10 axel with 3:43 gears. Grade 8 bolts on everything. Bed was made out of old barn wood that the truck was found under.
All suspension in the front has been completely rebuild. Bushing, arm, Drilled and slotted rotors with Willwood master cylinders and pedals. Rear brakes are new springs hubs and all. All gauges work ga, oil, temp and volts. speedo needs a cog . Highly desirable 1969 Camaro 4 speed that shifts smooth with performance clutch mated to a 4 bolt main, 350 Chevy bored .40 over with nice cam. No smok, rattles or leaks . It is a new build with Vortec head, Airgap intake, and Holley 670 carb. Starts instantly and does not run hot, with electric fan. Headers and cherry bombs.
In 1949 The F-6 and F-1 shared the same cabs . The F-6 running board and the wider wheel opening to accommodate Taller commercial type wheels being the only difference and no pickup truck bed of course. Thus the fat fender ford. Clear Kentucky title F6 Ford.
