1966 Ford Mustang Convertible Additional Info:

This two owner 1966 Mustang convertible has just 16,000 original documented miles. This car has been in the same family since 1967 and the previous owner has written a letter attesting to the low mileage. The condition of the car also attests to the low mileage as a personal inspection would reveal. The car is rust free, has the original interior and drives like a car with extremely low mileage. The registration sticker shows that the car has not been operated since 2004 and has been tucked inside an insulated garage since that time. The undercarriage is in great condition with no rust anywhere, no dents in the frame rails or strut rod frames like most cars this age.

This convertible has had one repaint and a new top installed at some point. Both are in excellent condition. The sheet metal all appears to be original with date codes exposed all over the car. Since the car had not been driven in 15 years, the engine and transmission were pulled and gone through. The engine bearings were dated 3-66 and had the FOMOCO logo on them. They were replaced since the engine was out of the car. The transmission was completely overhauled due to its stagnant longevity. The engine is an inline six cylinder 200 cubic inch and the transmission is a Ford C-4 Automatic.

This car was equipped from the factory with the Sprint Option. This included a full length console, chrome air cleaner, wire wheel hubcaps and accent stripe on the cove. This car also has a power convertible top in excellent working order.

For questions or a personal inspection, call Craig at (903) 571-0299. I am a Mustang Club of America gold card judge and know these cars very well. It is one of the finest examples of an original car I have ever seen.

This is an exceptional car; however, it is being sold without warranty being either expressed or implied.
