1987 Ford F-150 XLT Lariat Additional Info:
Had planned to restore this beautiful truck but time is an issue. Has been carport kept up until two weeks ago. I'm the third owner of this vehicle, the prior owner states that he rebuilt the motor and transmission less than 25,000 miles before I bought it. It runs fast, no oil leaks. Being stored for two years I had to replace a few things: starter, solenoid, battery. When I got it started again, it sounded like the belts are slipping and the check engine light came on--the belts may be the only thing it needs replacing or possibly the alternator. I drained both fuel tanks and the rear one may also need cleaning out. The front one is perfect. Other recent parts in the motor include an MSD distributor and coil, and an Edelbrock 4 barrel carburator. Before I stopped driving the truck a few years ago, the air condition worked perfectly. Also, I replaced the crappy bushings in the power wondow motors with appropriate-sized steel bearings and fresh grease. As a result, they move a bit slower, however, you will never have to replace another crappy window motor bushing ever again! I switched the oil to full synthetic as soon as I acquired this truck. Was also using non-ethanol fuel exclusively. Also included in the sale is the owner's manual and original window sticker, and a pair of new aluminum loading ramps. Truck has some super-duty aftermarket bumpers and a locking aluminum tool box. Any questions or if you want more pictures, please message me. Pick up only, shipping isn't available!***has a small dent on roof of passenger side. Will load a photo of it soon. Also, some of the trim pieces are not on the truck, but I have them with the truck.* I was asked if there is any rust on the truck--very minor surface rust in spots on the bed, and this is something that naval jelly and/or steel wool can eradicate. Also, the truck is going to need to be towed to its destination. The fuel filter may need to be replaced. The truck is being sold AS IS, that having been said, there is nothing major wrong with this truck. The issues with it are a result of having sat on the carport for the last two years. I had originally planned to do a frame-off restoration on it but time is a luxury I don't have right now. There is a LOT of potential here, this is a beautiful truck.
