A large amount of cash and effort were spent on the build before the project lost its momentum. Between 3 moves and 2 children the Mustang project stalled then was largely forgotten in the garage.A great deal of receipt documentation comes with this one showing everything from the suspension to the engine build. The new owner still has some work cut out for him making final decisions on trim and accessories. However, the work that has been done already makes this a very real possibility for cruizingthissummer. The body of this '69 is quite straight and looks great in the Molten Red Pearl paint. The body appears to be rust free. This one was painted about 15 years ago and has seen several moves, kids and storage mishaps so there are some scratches and chips. During part of its storage it was in a car port with a car cover that caused some moisture bubbles most notably on the driver's side B pillar and along the cowl. These are visible on close inspection but from 5 feet are very hard to see. The floors, frame rails and torque boxes look very good. The entire undercarriage was bedlined for both sound and heat insulation. The engine is a 351 Windsor that has been upgraded with ported Ford Motorsport aluminum cylinder heads. The intake manifold is a single plane unit that was port matched and flowed with epoxy at the carb flange. The valvetrain consists of a Comp 280 cam with roller rocker arms. The engine was built years ago but has never been fired. The transmission is a Toploader 4 speed coded for a 1969 351 Windsor. It has been fitted with a hydraulic slave cylinder. The engine and transmission are bolted but a full inspection would need to be done before starting the break-in process. The suspension is from Alston Performance. The front consists of tubular control arms, both upper and lower, along with coil over double adjustable shocks. In the rear a matching Alston Performance 4-bar rear suspension was installed along with double adjustable coil over shocks. With all the engine modifications and suspension upgrades the stopping needed to be addressed. Wilwood disc brakes were installed on all 4 corners. The tires and wheels are American Racing 17x7 with 225 45's on the front and 18x9.5" on the back with 275 40's on the rear. For Transportation we recommend Mike's Discount Auto Transport. They offer the best customer service and pricing in the industry.Call them for a quote at (888) 671-9285
