!964 Galaxie P Cod, Interceptor, Original barn find in 2018. The previous owner in NC did a great job getting this very rare Galaxie back on the road. He purchased this car from original owners widow along with original dealership records along with it. Window sticker, Build sheet found under rear seat, Dealership Bill of sale, original sales contract, owners plastic Ford ID card from dealership, owners manual, 1st Insurance binder at purchase. Sold new at Matheny Motor Co. Forest City NC and Ford assembly plant Atlanta GA. with a charlotte DSO. Car lived for short time in Lutz FL. then remained in NC. Original Wimbledon white Paint is worn, cracked with surface rust only on top of hood,roof and truck. Rear lower panels good with no one yet trying to hide 3 small pin holes on driver side and surface rust on pass. side. Can run a magnet up and down this body with no problems. This is a un-restored piece of Ford History, highly documented and can be used and loved just the way it is. Gets more looks than the restored ones. But, this is a real documented "P" code. Has the solid lifter 390, exhaust, carb, radiator, brake line for frt brake line routing fwd frame, Big brakes, big driveshaft, 6 pack rear leaf springs, lwr control arms fwd support bolts straight (No soft ride offset) Wheels, 5 correct Kelsey Hayes steel wheels. This is a 4 speed with center counsel, bucket seats with newer carpet. Factory Tach (inop) from dealership with warranty card, RITE AUTOTRONICS CORP. Vin tag shows 5=for 4 speed and 5=3:50 rear ratio. Vin decode all checks with numerous records/documents. Person I got this from did the following after removed from garage. Rebuilt carb, water pump, timing chain, points/plugs/cap, wires, 4 new radial tires that are vintage design, clutch, Gas tank and sender and fuel lines, new brake lines and new brake linings. ( Had to special order due to oversize shoes on this P code. New exhaust system, carpeting . I just drove this car from my shop to my hom, 3 miles and its quick and sounds incredible, nothing like it.
