1942 Ford GPW Additional Info:
The Willys MB and the Ford GPW, both formally called the U.S. Army "Truck, 1⁄4 ton, 4×4, Command Reconnaissance" commonly known as Jeep and sometimes referred to as G503 are off-road capable, light, military utility vehicles that were manufactured during World War II (from 1941 to 1945) for the Allied forces.
Here is your chance to own a true piece of American history. For sale is my 1942 ford GPW (Willys Jeep) I bought this as a project, but due to personal reasons I no longer have the time to finish it.
It was all complete when I bought it, the body is in good shape with no real rust or damage. I stripped it all down, took the bare frame, had it blasted, prepped, primed and painted in the correct olive drab paint. It has a good solid original frame complete with the Ford f markings on the machine gun mount, cross members and all four shock mounts. With the serial number on the frame (chassis) matching the Ford GPW Data plate on the body. The Jeep is all built up again now and is good to roll onto a trailer or be flat towed away.
It has the Ford GPW transmission and transfer box.
Ford GPW Radiator and lots of other original parts.
The engine is from a slightly later 1940s CJ 2A and will need some mechanical work to make it run. but it does turn by hand.
The Jeep comes with some new parts, and a new tin of olive drab paint new spray can and an open tin of paint.
I would just love to finish and and drive it, but personal family problems stop me from doing so.
Clean Nevada title in my name.
