1966 Ford Mustang Basic Additional Info:

You’re bidding on an unmolested 1966 Ford Mustang 6 cylinder, 200 CI Coupe which has been restored to as close to original as I could possibly do and the next owner is buying a well maintained and, I have been told, one of the cleanest best looking 6 cylinder Mustangs.

I am the third owner and purchased this vehicle in August 2013 with odometer at 151,840. In July 1984, the first owner painted the car black and removed the bench seat and installed bucket seats and in August 1996, the second owner painted the car in its current color of seafoam blue. According to documentation, the engine was rebuilt February 1999 at 142,845. The car has a lot of documentation on what was done with the car over the years as well as original owners’ manual. In 2013, I had a new stainless steel exhaust system installed, rebuilt the heating system including heater box and heater core, replaced rusted tail light bowls and parking light assemblies that were not operable, interior door panels, arm rests, kick panels and package tray that were damaged or deteriorated due to age. In 2014, the radio was sent out to have it cleaned and dial light replaced, the carburetor was rebuilt followed by a major tune up, a dual bowl master cylinder was installed in May and stainless steel transmission, distributor and fuel pump to carburetor lines were installed during the summer. 2015 was by far the biggest transformation of the car since I purchased it.In January, the engine and transmission were removed, engine bay was sanded and primed and painted, new battery tray installed and numerous minor items repaired or replaced in the engine bay. While the engine was out, the water pump, thermostat, and fuel pump were replaced and a Pertronix electronic ignition system was installed along with new hoses, belts, stainless steel vacuum line and reworked the windshield washer system. The engine was painted in the correct color scheme and reinstalled in the engine bay on new motor mounts. A few minor rust issues on the rear trunk brace, driver side trunk floor, driver side lower interior door panel and both front corners of the driver and passenger doors were repaired. The body shop checked over the entire car, inside and out and found no other rust issues other than surface rust. In March, new leaf springs were installed and in April new shocks all around. The summer saw a complete restoration of the interior by removing all the seats, door panels, etc. and replaced all the window rollers, cleaned all the door interiors greased all rollers and regulators. The old carpet was removed and replaced with new underlayment along with new high end carpet, the upholstery covers were replaced along with new foam for the front seats and rebuilt the seat tracks. In October, the transmission received a complete rebuild. In 2016 the alternator and voltage regulator were replaced. 2018 new stainless steel brake lines, stainless steel fuel tank to fuel pump line, new brake hoses and wheel cylinders were installed and a major brake job was done replacing all shoes, springs, clips, etc. and all the all the drums turned. The master cylinder installed in 2014 started to leak fluid and dripped down the firewall and steering column and so that was replaced with a stainless steel dual bowl master cylinder. Where the brake fluid dripped down the firewall and steering column caused the paint to bubble and peel and has not been repainted. New tires all around, including the spare.

I want to sell my Mustang as there isn’t anything more I want or can do with it. I want another project car to work on. Please don’t waste my time or yours with low ball offers or tire kicking. I know what I want for the car and how low I am willing to go. I want to sell the car; I don’t have to sell the car.
