1970 Ford Galaxie XL Additional Info:
This beautiful full-size convertible received a comprehensive restoration in 2016 that included a full engine and transmission rebuild; a brand new air conditioning system that blows ice cold; new medium blue metallic paint; new cloth interior bucket seats with the center console; new carpet and door/interior panels and hardware; a $3000+ dollar canvas navy blue top with a glass back window and new top pump system; new tires and Cragar chrome wheels; new brake system including brake booster, dual chamber master cylinder and wheel cylinders, lines and brakes. In April 2017, the car went into the shop with a minor transmission fluid leak, and the decision to add more power. Gaskets were replaced on the transmission so no more leaks. We added a FitTech electronic fuel injection system and all the complex plumbing that goes with it. We added a Performance RPM chrome intake manifold, Edelbrock chrome air intake, electronic ignition system, and high performance fuel pump. Also dual exhaust system with chrome exhaust tips. We also had the front end suspension rebuilt as well as the steering box. The car handles great and has fantastic acceleration with a rumbling exhaust note! All the glass is in great condition with windows rolling up and down as they should, meeting with all new top rubber seals and window tracks. The trunk has a full size spare tire and original jack equipment. There is absolutely no rust anywhere on or in this California car. Any additional photos available, just let me know what you want.
Winning bidder/buyer must provide a $1000 non-refundable deposit within 48 hours. Car will not be released until all funds are received and verified. Car is being sold As Is, with no warranty. It is buyer’s responsibility to pay for and secure transport, but we’ll help in any way we can. I highly recommend coming out and inspecting the car, or hire a company to do the inspection at your cost. It’s a fantastic car, and I’m sad to sell it. But recent medical bills has forced me to sell.
