If you ever heard some old mechanic ever say all the new trucks are throwaways, are needlessly complicated, are made out of plastic, too much to go wrong, too expensive to work on, a truck like this is why he said it.
Here's a classic truck you can drive and actually enjoy in your extra time, instead of dumping tons of money and years of work in one trying to make it this nice.
This 49 year old truck is a nice older partial restoration. There are no dents, dings, or scratches on the truck. It is a truck that you can proudlyshow off at your local Main St Saturday car show orcruise night. The truck appears to have been professionally done and painted in dust free bake booth. It is not a full polish auto body masterpiece with a $15K paint job. The inside of the bed hasdents, dings, and scratches that were painted over.It is a super nice truck that everybody stares and points at wishing they had it, and everyone wants to ask you about it, but it is not a trailer queen. It is a driver.
This truck has manual brakes, manualsteering, 4 speed manual transmission (Low, 2nd, 3r, and 4th), one speed transfer case, manual hubs, and no A/C.This truck easily cruises at 75 mph. Would be a great fishing boat or pop up camper puller.
The truck has just passed a Missouri State Safety inspection and it has excellent tires. Windshield wipers, windshield washers, all lights, horn, heater, turn signals, exhaust are fine. The truck is an older restoration from the desert south west. It has had a lot of work done to it.Any history as far what has been done or not done to the drive train oranythingelse is unknown.
Check out these videos:
Engine and ExhaustWhat is wrong with it that can't be seen in the video or pictures?
1) The original radio doesn't work.
2) The left floor vent is stuck.
3) Original carburetor. The truck would idle better when cold and run with way more power with a new Edelbrock.
4) The second tank was not re installed under the bed when the truck was restored.
5) It is rusted under the battery. Other than that it is a rust free South Western U.S. truck.
6) The dash gauges are disconnected. It has Auto Meter Gauges connected.
