1961 Ford Falcon Additional Info:

1961 Ford Falcon 4 door sedan with the 144 Inline Six and automatic transmission. The engine will start but needs work (see details below).
I bought this car out of Arizona over the winter. I expected to work on it but have not recovered from a back surgery as quick as I planned so it is just sitting in the garage and it is time to move on.
The previous owner installed a new gas tank, fuel pump, fuel gauge sending unit, rebuilt the carb, replaced the brake master cylinder and all 4 wheel cylinders. This work was done approximately 7 months ago.
Since shipping it here, all I have done is put a battery in it and started it up for a minute. Here is everything I know about it:- Car will start but it is leaking coolant near the rear of the engine. Previous owner said it was the freeze plug but it is hard to tell. I bought everything needed for a full tune up (see list below).- Interior is in pretty good shape. Looks like someone did some interior work on it (older restore?). Looks like everything is there.- Exterior looks like an older paint job on a good body. Paint is in good shape but a few small spots that could use a touch up. Wheels have some rust on them (see pictures). Tires look to be ok. They hold air, have some tread on them, and do not show any signs of dry rot. There is a crack in the windshield, all other glass is in great shape. The car is missing the exterior side mirrors, the trunk lock, and the wiper arms but is otherwise complete. Bumpers are in great shape. Under the car looks good with no issues.
With the included parts, you could most likely get this car up and running for little time or money. Cosmetically, it is in good enough shape to drive it as-is (my original plan) or you could put some more time and money into it (bigger engine/rear end?). It is a great looking car.
I was given a title with the car (Arizona) but the state of Georgia does not issue titles for vehicles this old. I think their cutoff is 64 or 63. So I have a notarized title signed over to me that I will give you but it is up to you to make sure you can register it in your state using this. I will also provide a bill of sale. Not an issue if you live in GA but if you are in another state, please check your state laws to make sure this will work. Georgia also required me to have the local police department run a VIN check on it due to the age and it came back clear.
I bought about $300-$400 worth of parts for it and they are all included in the sale. Should hopefully be everything you need. I think this is everything:New BatteryNew DistributorNew Distruster CapNew Ignition WiresNew Spark PlugsRemanufactured Water PumpNew Water Pump GasketNew Gas Cap (installed)New Air Filter (installed)ThermostatBeltOilOil FilterOil Drain PlugWiper blades (car is missing the arms still)New Ignition Cylinder (car currently starts with a screwdriver)New Ignition KeyCoolant
Shipping or pickup (30 minutes south of Atlanta) is the buyers responsibility. Car is pretty light and can be pushed around but a winch is probably best to get it on a trailer. I have used ship.com in the past and it has worked out well. $500 deposit via PayPal within 48 hours of auction close. I will take PayPal for the remainder of the balance or cash in person.
No reserve. Car is sold as-is. No warranty. Let me know if there are any additional questions and thank you for looking.
