1979 Ford F-250 Ranger Additional Info:
Selling my project truck! It's a 1979 Ford F250 SuperCab 4x4. We're moving to arizona, and as much as I'd like to I can't take it with me.
This truck runs well, after a time up it will be an excellent driver or hauler. It's a beast!
The truck is a 1979, but it has a 1977 grill on it.
It has my favorite "4's" - a 460 CID engine, a 4-barrel Edelbrock carb, 4 speed manual transmission, and 4-wheel drive.
It has dual rear wheels, and a goose neck hitch built into the custom flat bed, and a standard receiver hitch.
It has a dual fuel tank setup, but only the front tank is installed. Everything is wired and plumbed, it just needs a new rear tank and sending unit installed. The main, or front tank and sending unit is brand new. This truck has the tank selector switch in the dash, so you can see your fuel level on either tank at the flip of a switch. It has a new fuel pump, filter, and the carb was gone through (floats were replaced).
Both cab corners have been replaced, along with the supporting structure inside the cab wall. The drivers side floor plan was repaired, and the passenger side floor pan was replaced. All seams were sealed
New starter and battery tray with hold-down.
New brakes all the way around, new drums, disks, shoes, pads, all hardware and most brake lines. Front disk brakes calipers were in decent shape, so they were reused. Replaced one emergency/parking brake cable.
Truck has Dana 60 axles front ( I believe) and rear(absolutely certain).
It has factory air conditioning, but an aftermarket compressor. Everything seems to work, but the a/c probably needs to be charged. The heater seems to work fine.
All the lights worked last time I checked.
The radio turns on, and the speakers work, but I can't get it to find a station. It's just a two post am/fm cassette player, so it probably needs replaced. I replaced the door speakers.
** I have a clear Kansas title in hand.
The seats are from a mid 90's truck, and are in decent shape. The covers were removed and cleaned. There is a small patch on the rear seat that you can see in the pictures.
I don't have a glove box insert for it.
The paint is not perfect, there are a couple of dry/rough spots, but it looks pretty good. It's not perfect, but it's my baby. Thanks for looking!
