1965 Ford Mustang 2+2 Fastback 9,673 Original miles

The title of this listing is not a misprint or sales gimmick story. This may in fact be the actual “Little Old Ladys Car” that you’ve always heard about! Her name was Adele. Adele was born in December of 1903. Approximately one month after her 61st birthday, she took delivery of a gorgeous, brand new, Raven Black 1965 2+2 Mustang, at Bittorf Ford Sales in Baltimore MD. The car remained in her name until her passing in 1982. After changing hands the car saw very little use, and apparently went into very long term storage. We’re told it has been garage kept since day one.

We have the original title. This beauty is a true survivor! It is still wearing it's factory original paint! The C code, 289 V8, and original cruise-o-matic drivetrain remain, as well as the power steering, all ordinary stuff. There were other options selected however that are quite rare and unusual. Trim code 76, Black Crinkle Vinyl with Black Cord Pattern Cloth seat inserts? ( as per the door data tag.)In 38 years I have seen only one other fastback with this option. It has factory radio delete...I can find no evidence of it ever having an antenna...It also has the visibility group consisting of day/night mirror, remote driver's door mirror, and all ford Sun-X tinted glass with a shaded Carlite windshield.

All of the suspension components are original with the exception of the shocks, the upper ball joints still have the original rivets. The muffler and tailpipe were recently replaced with O.E. style replacements. The wheel cylinders were honed and re-assembled, brakes work nice. The battery and cables were replaced with concours correct replacements, and an NOS ford battery tray was installed. The fuel system has cleaned and the carburetor was rebuilt. It still has the original button top fuel pump. It appears to have the original plug wires and heater hoses. It runs smooth and quiet, no smoke. It shifts and drives fine. The water pump was replaced with a correct ford C5AE unit. It appears to have the original radiator, (unique to the Dearborn plant). We have three of the original bias ply tires, they are stored with any other parts that were removed. The body is 99.999 per cent rust free. All original sheet metal. Ithas some dents and scratches, the kind caused by idiots when no one is looking. Be sure to view all pictures. The chrome/diecast/stainless trim is the nicest you will ever see. If you are familiar with early Mustangs, you will simply love the pristine, near perfection of it’s unique interior upholstery, carpeting and trim. The sill plates have some normal wear/scratches, and the dash pad hassome slight, minimal waves (typical). Otherwise it looks like a six month old car, I could go on and on but you really have to see it in person. The detailing of this car is constantly ongoing, therefore it actually looks substantially better now than these photos taken only a few days ago.

We’ve created a Photobucket album- http://s1175.photobucket.com/user/reegus58reegus/library/ It has, at this time, 195 additional images of this wonderful car. They show many more views, of the undercarriage, under the hood, under the dash, and even a couple under the seats.
