1967 Ford Mustang fastback Additional Info:
I purchased this car in 1990 from the orig. owne, a Calif. car built at the San Jose plan, the car had 0 rust and 0 rust or damage repair. drove it a few miles then parked it in my shop. around 2000 the resto. began then was completed in 2010. The motor was built at M&R machine in Glendale(no longer open/retired) by Danny Grill .... The motor is a 351 Windsor /brodix heads/edelbrock/holley/jba headers/MSD etc.etc....he claimed it to be around 425hp but we never dynoed it.... The trans is orig. ford toploader all rebuilt at Transaction by Brad Anderson..... The rear end is the only unit not gone thru with 3.00:, i would suggest at least a 3.50 gear and locker to the new owner. all the rest was done by mysel, the paint is orig. nightmist blu, guide coat/blocked several times and is laser straigh, shelby body parts purchased from Brand, ..... interior is correct ford # lacque, interior fiberglass &doors are properly striped(not sanded) to retain orig. OEM grain ..... the glass front&rear is new with carlite year code stam, ....rubber throughout car is ne, ..... floors/trunk/door skins lined with sound deadening dynomat. The front brakes are power/disc with adj. proportion valv, they work awesome.....the suspension all ne, everything works / A/C /heater / lights etc.. the radio is orig am 8 track stereo thats wired to switch for siriusxm pod . ....the car runs grea, sounds great and is fast. i've put about 500 miles since finished. The theme of this car was to keep the orig. oem ford/shelby look without all the bolt on crud they sel, .... now under the hood is another stor, you cant hide power but thats the nice thing about a tribute car. I am retired and restore vintage motorcycles/cars as a hobby with a shop built off my house where the car was restore, the paint was done in a booth at a friends body shop ....... My experience from work began as a machinist to a mechanic to some time in a body sho, i've fabricated/built/painted oval track race cars and prepped/painted picture cars for the movie industry. I am happy to take any phone call, or show the car to anyone in the area . DOUBLE CLICK PHOTOS BELOW ......................
