1932 Ford Other Additional Info:
You are looking at an original 60s Gasser. The car was found in a Barn located in Melbourne Florida about 2 years ago. It was there since 1962 and was found by a local man who put in his shop for a short time. I bought the car from him a little over a year ago and started bringing the car back to life. It was raced with a 1959 or 60 corvette drive train from what I can tell. There was no engine in the car but had the 1959 date code T-10 4 speed and P-code 4:10 posi corvette rear end still in the car. It ran a hydraulic clutch set up with modified Hurst shiftier. The car was very dirty with years of dust and bird poo all over it. The last picture is when I got it out of the shop. I carefully cleaned the car and was amazed how solid the body was. Its not perfect it does has some rust starting on drivers side drip rail and I had to replace the rear floor and below the trunk lid with new metal, but its got great patina. I also found the guys name still on the car (Frank Puckett). I tried to do some research but was unable to find any information on him. The car has all the original glass in great shape, windows and front windshield still in working order. The original wood is very nice with original canvas on the roof. The original dome light and switch are still there. I put a 350 chevy small block and 200R transmission in but I saved the T10 and all original parts I removed. I wanted to keep the race cars looks but make it derivable on the road today. The front axle had a chain on it and it had 2 pieces of angle iron on rear to push or pull the car after a run down the track. The front axle was bent from pulling it so I removed it and had it straitened on a frame machine. I added disc brakes and new steering box with tilt steering column. I also rewired the car with modern fuel box so its street legal. I had the original seat upholstered but left the rest of interior the way it was. The roll bar was welded to the passenger side frame rail. I moved it in a few inches so 2 people could go for a ride. I put quick disc connects on both ends so center bar could be removed if you wanted. The original gas tank is still in good shape but I put an auxiliary fuel cell in the trunk with a gauge and a switch on the dash to use either tank. I ran the exhaust in front of the tires with electric cut outs. When I bought the car there was no title for it but I was able to read the original VIN number on the frame and able to get a Florida title they said the car was never titled before so I'm the first registered owner of the car. The car runs and drives great for a old race car and a total conversation peace at the shows. The car is truly one of a kind I've seen lots of 32 Fords but none like this one. Someone will get a truly special piece of American History. If you have any questions please feel free to give me a call at 813-478-3449.
