The 1933 Fords were the founding fathers of the hot-rodding movement. They were modified in endless ways from mild to wild. This 2-door coupe is a beautiful example of one that is full of both show and go. It has great vintage character on the outside, modern comforts in the interior, and modern tech dressed up for the show in the drivetrain. Check it out. The fiberglass body of this car is very clean with good gaps and... lines and an outstanding paint job in classic Black. The look is kept super clean by leaving the fenders off which highlights the tapered lines of the car. Up front, that tall grill of curved vertical bars leads the way with Ford badging at the top and some sweet custom pin striping on the hood. Big round headlights flank that grill and there is plenty of chrome shining brightly for everyone to see on the drop axle, shocks, bumpers, and finned aluminum brake coolers that are all polished up. From the side, the silhouette is unmistakably '33 Ford with a bit of chassis rake that gives the car a pretty aggressive stance. Out back, there is more of that custom pinstriping on the long gentle curves of the trunk and a simple but good looking chrome bumper. Step inside this car and you are surrounded by a rich Black interior. The door panel sets the tone by being simple but gorgeous. It has a triangular pleated center panel with a smooth surround. The bench seat follows suit with pleated leather seating surfaces with smooth surrounds and nice side bolsters on the outer edges. A custom three spoke wire steering wheel is wrapped in leather and mounted on a tilt column with polished V8 center button. Behind it is a black dash with a white faced, backlit, Autometer gauge cluster. The speedo is in the center with four smaller engine gauges around it. There is a plaque on the dash from a vintage speed run at El Mirage with the controls for the Vintage Air A/C system to the right of it and the vents underneath. The shifter for the automatic transmission rises from the floor and there is a Sony head unit mounted behind the seat. Pop the hood and you will find a 350 cubic inch motor with Cadillac valve covers squeezed down in that tight little engine bay. A gloss black filter housing gathers up air for an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor and a GM intake. Those valve covers are blue with Cadillac spelled out in silver and long tube headers wind their way out the bottom to Flowmaster mufflers. A chrome alternator keeps the battery charged up and there's a new Sanden A/C compressor along with new plugs cap and wires assure a good spark. A fresh radiator with electric fan makes sure that things keep running cool and power flows back through a THM700R4 4-speed automatic transmission. A Ford 9", Currie rear end with 3.70 gears gets those Red wire wheels tuning and chromed radius rods along with the springs and shocks not only look great but offer the adjustability that provides for that nice bit of chassis rake. Up front a chromed transverse spring compliments the rest of the chrome in the steering and brakes for an awesome look all around. Vintage character on the outside, modern comforts on the inside, and chromed up tech in the drivetrain and engine. Come on down and check this car out.
