1969 Ford Ranchero Additional Info:
Up for auction is a 1969 Ford Ranchero, old in color with black stripe decals.
This car starts and drives well, good low priced classic. Tires are good, aint looks good with only a few minor defects. The interior is good but could use alittle cleaning up and the rear upholstered panel behind the seat has fallen down and needs to be replaced but is still there. Came in from an auction out west and has been stored indoors, n a private collection for the last 5 years that we can verify.
GOOD:
- Most of everything.
- Great looking, unctional classic at a great price.
- Hope in and drive.
- I have taken it on a few 100+ mile trips in the texas summer without issues.
BAD:
1) There are only a few small paint nicks here and there, ee photos.
2) The stereo does not seem to work, xpect to replace it.
3) The engine has a slight stumble from idle when cold, uns fine when warm. We tried to get this tuned out of the carb but its just old. We have plans and parts to convert to a 4bbl configuration and havent gotten to it yet but these parts can go to the new owner if they want.
4) The transmission lever seems to overshoot reverse gear from park, ou usually have to bump it back to the left again to engage reverse. Just needs adjustment.
The interior needs floor mats and the dash is loose and 'dirty' looking because the color is fading off the pad.
Passed state inspection and all of that. Stored indoors. No way to verify mileage.
Other than the above, he car drives well and gets alot of attention. Very fun and practical at the same time. We have driven the car through town many times and never had any problems. Keep in mind it is 46 years old and not a new car, ut it is in good condition considering its age. Very rust free body and chassis.
If you are looking to get into a classic car without spending a fortune this would be the opportunity for you. We do consider trades in the specialty or classic category.
