1966 Ford Thunderbird Additional Info:

A 1966 Bird that I bought thinking I was going to do a restore, but as happens so many times, I have never been quite able to get it done.
The major plus for the car is that it cranks, runs, drives, and stops. I drive it around the block once in a while, and it will drive up onto a trailer. Does not overheat, and the transmission seems to shift. The headlights and tail lights work. Someone before me put new carpet in the car, and looks like dyed the seats white. The headliner is in place. Looks like new brake lines and hoses were run, and new front calipers and rotors. The floors are surprisingly pretty solid. Recent Edelbrock carb. Glass is all pretty good, and the windows rollup and down.
It would be difficult to list everything that's wrong with an old car like this....especially one that has been sitting. But I'm going to list the major things that I'm aware of;smokes a bunch after it warms up. I don't know if it's old gas, a stuck piston ring, valve stem seal issues, or a combination thereof. The brake booster is bad. The car will stop, but it takes significant pressure on the brake pedal. A fair amount of rust on the car, especially the front edge of the hood, the lower rear quarters, and the lip of the trunk, of which the rear part is rusted away. The floor of the trunk is pretty solid. Some bubbling in other places, especially the passenger side. There is a minor dent in the passenger side lower front quarter. The tires are poor, but hold air. The battery of course will be the worst one I can find on the place.
I keep the car under a shed, which helps.
I do have a set of fender skirts that go with the car. I also have the original air cleaner in decent condition, as well as the steering wheel center cap. There are 4 pretty good hubcaps. There is a trunk full of misc. parts, including all kinds of trim, and a NOS exhaust manifold.
Clear Va. title, which doesn't require notarization.
I have a good place for a truck and trailer to maneuver, and to load the car.
