1965 Ford Mustang Additional Info:
Check out this neat and clean '65 Mustang. Ford hit it out of the park when they designed this car. It started a revolution because it was, and still is, a great looking car that is fun to drive. Of-course, the first year of a classic is always desirable, and this one is just waiting for someone to take it home and head out for some classic adventures with it. White with chrome is such a nice look. Up front, a pencil thin front bumper underlines the grill with the iconic galloping Mustang in the center. It is flanked by fog lights trimmed in chrome and shrouded beneath the front edge of that long hood. The headlights are set back into the fenders which have a 289 emblem on the front and a Mustang on red, white, and blue stripes toward the rear. The stainless trimming the windows shines nicely as do the splashes of flash from the door handles, mirrors, and trim where the body lines down the side of the car resolve in front of the rear wheels. The back of the car has those 3 element taillights that are still a defining feature, even on new Mustangs, and beneath them is another simple and clean looking bumper which has GT style chrome exhaust tips peeking out through the lower valence underneath it. Open the door and you will find a black interior that is a classic compliment to the white. The door panel has a pleated center section trimmed out with thin chrome piping and a comfortable armrest for while you are cruising down the road. The bucket seats are pleated, very comfortable, and look great as they have been recently recovered. There is a deep dish, three spoke steering wheel with chrome spoke horn buttons and a Ford Mustang center, and the shifter for the automatic transmission is mounted in the floor. A deep dash shrouds shade the stock instrument cluster from the sun nicely with the speedometer in the center and round gauges to each side. Auxiliary gauges for oil pressure and voltage are mounted under the center and there is a nice Pioneer head unit with 6 x9s mounted in the rear shelf for your listening pleasure. The trunk on this car is even nicely trimmed out with vinyl trunk lining and a matching tire cover. Pop the hood and you will find the engine everybody seems to want in a Mustang. The 289 V8. It is completely stock and is nestled down in a nicely detailed out engine bay. The stock blue air cleaner assembly has an orange sticker announcing the 289, and the rest is factory Ford blue. It is pretty refreshing to see a stock painted engine without a bunch of chrome jewelry adorning it. It has plenty of power, which is why it was instantly so popular in '65, and it sends that power back through a 3-speed automatic trans. There has been one upgrade with a Flowmaster exhaust system from the manifolds back that give the car a nice healthy sound. Power steering comes in handy when swinging the car into a tight parking spot, and the car sits on 205/75R14 tires mounted on polished GT wheels with red Mustang center caps all around. Come on down and check this car out. You just might decide to check out how it looks in your driveway.
