1982 Ford Mustang GT Additional Info:
This is a one owner, all original, original paint, 1982 Mustang GT, survivor. The first year of the 5.0 HO motor, the one that started it all. This car spent it's entire life in Las Cruces, New Mexico and is COMPLETELY rust free. See pictures. The undercarriage is pristine and still has it's original exhaust.
It has never been hit or repainted. The original paint shows some patina, with touchups, scratches and thinning areas. There are also a couple of small stone chips on the passenger side windshield. I had a top notch PDR technician spend several hours going over the car but I did notice a couple dings which were missed after he left, however.
Interior is in unbelievably excellent condition with a perfect dash and headliner. The original owner kept covers on the seats and steering wheel and the interior is amazingly preserved, especially for a desert car with a red interior. It is completely unfaded.
Everything works, including AC, all gauges and diagnostic panel. The ignition wires are factory original and are date coded 1982. I believe the clutch to also be original and is nearing the end of it's lifespan. The motor pulls strong and runs great! Just added were brand new LMR 16" TRX wheels with 225/16/60 tires. The original TRX wheels and tires go with the car, as do the Ford Motorsport rear window louvers which I have removed.
All original, unmolested, one owner rust free, 1982 GTs don't come around very often. I've taken this car as far as I can, while maintaining it's originality. I also have the original title, which was cancelled by the State of Illinois and returned to me. Thanks for looking and don't hesitate to ask any questions on this rare find.!
