1971 Ford F-250 Additional Info:
This is a very clean old truck. A friend picked it up out west while away working. It came out of NM and is believed to be original paint. Very solid with no rust on body panels but does have one area in the bed just in front of center tailgate (small patch would fix it) A prior owner had installed a large camper on it at one point in time and water trapped under it also some holes have been drilled for bracing of the camper. Other than this the body is perfect and truck is believed to be low miles due to farm use.Original 360 FE BBF with 2brl carb, new process 4spd and Dana 60 rear with 4.10 gears and Dana 40 front diff.Truck runs and drives great, very clean for its age. It has manual steering and manual 4wheel drum brakes with new shoes and wheel cylinders on rear and new master cylinder. I recently rebuilt the carb and replaced fuel pump/fuel lines and filters from firewall forward. Also purchased new fuel sending unit as gas gauge don't work but upon replacement I realized the original worked but fuel arm was catching.Have new intake and valve cover gaskets in box since I had plans to convert to fuel injection and the valve cover gaskets leak (cork)Not serious but oil pan seeps as well.. (prob needs to gasket and rear seal. I hadn't changed them yet as I've not had time but it doesn't leak enough to have to add much to engine for no more than I drive it but does need replaced. The original distributor comes with new points but has an accel electronic pickup installed for better fire. The original cab lights had been removed when I got the truck so I have a set of 5 yankee 77s but outer two wont line up with original screw holes so only installed 3 for now til I found the style of outer 2, also I have the headliner trim but still needs new board (trim needs polished. Brand new stock exhaust modes for collectors due to header install with flomaster mufflers (original new mufflers included new in boxes) and a sliding rear glass also included if ya want to add the option as I had planned to.Driver portion of seat has tears and patch on lower cushion and dash has a new cap only with no pad, new original style trico wiper arms and blades and dukes of hazzard style aftermarket horn setup partially installed as wiring needs completed and new grant Ford style wood wheel.16.5 inch wheels with 36x10.50 series Goodyear military grade tires with very good wear.Truck starts everytime with no issues and runs out great but steering wheel needs an alignment since truck drives straight but steering wheel is clocked at 10 and 4. All other electronic items such as heater, dash lights and wipers all work.Truck does have the divorced transfer case and is a real high boy.
