1987 Ford Mustang LX Additional Info:

very solid Fox body mustang with no rust to be found except the usual surface rust on bottom suspension components POSSIBLE TRADE? read below Rugs-seats unripped but faded. Runs out smooth and steady with deep engine sound. Car comes with receipts for over S7,000. Bulk of the work remaining is in the interior. AC-wipers-heat-radio-lights (head/tail/brake/dash/interior) all work, Power windows and door locks work as they should. Milage is uncertain as speedo goes on/off from time to time. When I got the car it had pretty banged up doors so I sourced an excellent set and (since I had them off) wirebrushed the bottom 10 inches of the inside and coated it with POR-15, let that dry a week per the instructions, then coated the hardened POR with rustolieum enamel. Then installed the doors with new hinge-pins and brass collars. Being a Neatnick is its own reward. :)

New in last 10 months: 4 tires, pads-shoes, Sears DH battery, full headlight set, all exterior emblems, coil, d-cap and rotor and wires and ignition coordinator (sits at base of dist), hatch struts, wipers, full fluid flush on diff/trans/engine, door hinge pins, plugs, resonator tips, and more that I cannot remember....New in box (included but not installed): full tailight set, clutchcable and housing, and ...
I bought it planning to make it into a car-club, car show, cruise-night car. I chose the T-top to build cause the Mustang history says ford only made about 3200 of em. This is also the first year for the "flow-back headlights. Starts/runs/drives out easy. Good driver-quality paint, stops straignt-smooth.I am 77 last may, tried to build my high-school idea of a cruise night car and found that my growing sciatica problem just makes driving a clutch-car a real painful process, time to move it on to its next owner.
Used Parts included: two sets of door panels (grey/red). replacement dash pad in same red as seats, two original windows from the dented doors, books-manuals-history, car spent its life in Divide and Denver Colorado, this probably accounts for the lack of rust.
Needing attention: cruise-control and turn-indicators do not work yet, door-panels need installing, Passenger side window has vertical scratches BUT windows from original (dented-dinged) doors are unscratched/included.TRADE? I would consider trading for a 99 or newer AUTOMATIC miataOR a small sedan two door AUTOMATIC OR a small AUTOMATIC whatever.could also go cash up or down to equalize the trade.
NOTE: yes, all the extra NIB (new-in-box) parts and the used parts fit nicely in the cargo/hatch area for transport. I have a double set of the "belt-line" exterior-trim should you want to refurbish it and install. Also found the pullback-screen that installs over your cargo area. I am going through the workarea and unearthing all the bits that go with the car.
NOTE: found the plastic watershield that goes over each door before the door panel goes on (NIB)and yes, I have a clear colorado title in my nameshipping delivery? I will work with your shipper to make the handover easy, but I do work a normal 5 8-hour days, I do have all of next week off (Fall Break.) AND I can store the car inside until your shipper is ready. A couple of weeks is no problem.
Gentlemen, I have made all the reductions in the BIN price(without over runing the reserve) that I can.. So if you have to ask a loved-one, significant-other, or your bank.... this would be a great time to get that out of the way. Please big early and often...
