1956 Ford Fairlane victoria Additional Info:
THIS IS A RARE OPPORTUNITY TO OWN A VERY SPECIAL 1956 2 DOOR HARDTOP FAIRLANE VICTORIA. THIS 1956 FORD FAIRLANE WAS PURCHASED FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER. IT WAS HIS HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION PRESENT. HE HAD OWNED THIS CAR UNTIL HIS PASSING IN 2017. SHOWING 14K MILES THAT IS SAID TO BE THE ORIGINAL MILES. SOME OIL CHANGE STICKERS FROM THE 60'S DO VERIFY THE LOW MILEAGE, A BRAKE JOB WAS RECENTLY DONE AND THE ORIGINAL CLIPS THAT HOLD THE DRUMS ON AS IT CROSSES THE ASSEMBLY LINE WERE STILL IN PLACE. HAS BEEN GARAGE PARKED SINCE THE EARLY 70'S UNTIL 2017 WHEN IT WAS PURCHASED. THE HEADS WERE REMOVED AND A VALVE JOB WAS DONE, THE 292 THUNDERBIRD WAS EXTREMELY CLEAN INSIDE. A NEW TIMING CHAIN AND WATER PUMP WAS INSTALLED DURING THIS PROCESS, ALONG WITH FLUIDS CHANGED. STILL HAS ITS "TEA POT" 4 BBL CARB. RUNS GREAT AND IS VERY STRONG, NO SMOKE/NOISES/LEAKS, HOLDS GREAT OIL PRESSURE. NEW DUAL EXHAUST WAS ADDED, THE PAINT JOB WAS SAID TO BE THE ORIGINAL, WHILE IT IS THE CORRECT "PEACOCK/DIAMOND" BLUE COMBO IT APPEARS TO ME TO HAVE BEEN AT LEAST TOUCHED UP PROBABLY EARLY 60'S. IT HAS BEEN BUFFED AND POLISHED TO A GOOD SHINE BUT ITS STILL SHOWS SOME AGE, AGAIN IT IS 60 YEARS OLD. THE INTERIOR OVERALL IS IN REMARKABLE CONDITION. THE FRONT DRIVERS SIDE SEAT HAS THE ONLY WEAR. AN AFTERMARKET SEAT COVER WAS ADDED TO COVER IT. THE BODY IS EXTREMELY STRAIGHT WITH ONLY MINOR DINGS. I HATE TO PAINT IT BECAUSE OF ITS REMARKABLE CONDITION, BUT IF A PAINT JOB WAS DESIRED THIS CAR WOULD REQUIRE VERY LITTLE PREP BEFORE SPRAYING. THE BODY OF THIS CAR IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, NO RUST. THE ORIGINAL BLUE PAINT IS STILL ON THE FLOOR PANS UNDER THE CARPET, THE ORIGINAL UNDERCOATING IS STILL ON THE UNDERSIDE. SPENT ITS LIFE IN THE SOUTH. OVERALL THIS CAR IS IN A REMARKABLE CONDITION, RUNS AND DRIVES GREAT. 50 YEAR OLD NYLON TIRES WERE REMOVED, AND A NEW SET OF RADIALS ADDED. THIS CAR IS A TRUE "BARN FIND" ASIDE FROM THE PARTS STATED, EVERYTHING ELSE APPEARS TO BE ALL 1956. LOTS OF PAPER WORK IN THE GLOVE BOX, OWNERS MANUAL ETC. THE ORIGINAL OWNER WAS A PILOT FOR THE AIR FORCE CIRCA 1959 ALOT OF HIS DOCUMENTS STILL IN THE GLOVEBOX FROM THAT TIME. THE RESERVE ON THIS CAR IS A REASONABLE AMOUNT, PLEASE BID TO WIN. IF SHIPPING IS NEEDED I HAVE A RELIABLE SHIPPER HERE IN MS THAT DELIVERS NATION WIDE. QUESTIONS CALL 601 677 2005 OR TEXT/EMAIL ME.
